in terms of looks, Shidou is better for me. Although he is a crossdresser, his looks are fine (he has a twin sister after all, with the mole on the other eye).
If we are taling about who is a more attractive "character," then I would say Ami.

p.s. : MarioHolic could've been better but the anime series was pretty horrible, esp. towards the end...
