I find trolling hilarious to be honest. Just presume everyone being a cunt on the internet is a troll, and treat accordingly i.e. don't take them seriously and throw just as crappy insults back whilst not giving a shit.
Thus: "Cool story bro". Which works very well IRL, I might add.

It's just an easy way to assert domiance; as in games I've seen asses on WoW that only do it to be dominant.

Sometimes I think it's genuine reaction to something; when I saw some twit describe Ed Sheran's 'A Team' as perfect description of the life and death of Amy Winehouse I exploded! Yes; I was an ass hole over a song that I'm only mildly fond of but it was the princiable of the thing - an uneducated cow made a tenuious link between a rather pretty song and a crack addicted whore.

I believe that everyone is an asshole except for a few people. I also believe people who talk shit about people, will in turn have people talk shit about them leading to a never ending cycle of people putting each other down. so people who are assholes have whats coming to them in the end.

I'm overly wordy and polite in real life and carry that over to the internet. I think there's a lot of truth to the anonymity argument; people vent they frustrations they acquire through real life in the medium that, for the most part, doesn't come back to bite them in the ass for venting.

Sometimes on the internet I sound like a complete douche, but in real life I'm a pretty friendly person. You just can't sense my sarcasm when you read these words so it doesn't have the same meaning.
