I had an ex that used to not shower over the weekend when she didn't have work, and she would end up smelling absolutely fantastic to me by Sunday.

It's probably related to the closeness of the panties to the girl's private parts. It may be hormone-related, but I would bet on the subconscious desire to mate with the female.

The thought behind it being a certain person's panties, and the scent of them maybe? The whole taboo factor gets ya going maybe? According to the wearer...I never sniff one either so I can't say, but one thing I'm sure is that I don't want to smell just any panties, only my gf for instance (but I'm single right now).
