its mostly just our primal instinct to get horny when we smell women , as for why panties specifically have a heavier effect maybe if she got wet a little theres the smell of arousal ? otherwise it could just be a kink , deny or find something funny as much as you like but sometimes for some reason later down the road you can devolp certain kinks
