Well, Serbia was a tough opponent, and I think they won fair and square.

And Germany really needed that reality check after they stomped Australia. Seems like they got too cocky. Though I must admit, I thought Serbia wasn't as strong as they turned out to be.

Germany didn't ever play well but Serbia lucked out, assisted by flashes of form from their better players. I always knew they could park the bus with the likes of Vidic and Ivanovic but I didn't expect them to score; terrible refereeing helped out in that respect, as it has done on a couple of other occasions already.

This World Cup is being blighted by little things - referees, vuvuzelas, the Jabulani ball - where it should have been a colourful tournament with great football. I only hope that now the goals have started coming and with bigger teams playing each other as it progresses, that the actual quality that some of the teams have will show itself.

Yea fuck that Ref at the US vs Slovenia match. I'm watching the England vs Algeria pregame show and there was no foul from the US at all.

Also those England commentators are arrogant as hell to just up and say "I expect England to Roll Algeria" so I'm now hoping England fucks up and loses.

Worst game of the tournament, and I cannot begin to express how pissed off I am at the manager. Plays 4-4-2 with Heskey who is awful, Johnson I knew was bad but this was something else, Rooney and Gerrard out of position (Rooney had to drop back all the time to pick up the ball, because he wasn't getting any service), took Lennon off who had been literally the only threat for us and replaced him with the perennially dreadful SWP, didn't play Joe Cole or put Defoe on early enough...and this is after not playing Hart and not taking Adam Johnson or Walcott (I don't rate him but I'd have him over SWP any day). I despair.

I seriously hope we don't go through. I blame the manager more than the players but they had no right to be nervous and there was no spirit or spark. It's like the Germans earlier, expect we seem constantly to feel that nothing is going for us.
