Would you rather win a 100 million dollar lottery or set a world record?

Personally I would much rather set a world record. If I were the first person to do something I would be known throughout history.(maybe)
As for winning a lottery, I would probably fuck up my life with my sudden wealth.

Being the first person to do something, and possibly the only person to do it just seems amazing to me.

So what about you?

I feel like if won the 100m (and yes thats what i voted for) it would change my life but i would be set for life. Save some, invest some, spend a lot duhh and not have to worry about bills or even getting a good paying job, but i would get one just to take up time and make MORE money and one that would be fun like running a website and making money off of it or working for something else that would be fun to me

I don't feel the need of being the best in something. I'd rather have the money and have no more worries for the rest of my life.

100 millions bucks.... yeah I'm a middle - lower class.... I'd dream to become rich someday that's why i want that.. and this day Money cannot be achieve easily or so called Luck.. and this day is Recession time, no job...

Even though I strongly agree with this. World record is still at the top for me.^_^

Winning a 100million would be better in my case, so i can pay off bills and other necessities, but if i won a world record i could get some sort of cash prize and be remembered to those who actually care about records.

Being the first at something is something wholly different though - think about climbing Mt. Everest, although that's not a world record, but you get the idea.

World records are temporary. Just look at swimming: when those new suits were introduced hundreds of records were broken, and even when the were banned the records stood. Usain Bolt smashed some that had stood for decades...there aren't many records that are unassailable.

The money would be awesome, so long as you didn't let it go to your head. I'd probably keep living modestly and pursuing my career, giving a lot away and just knowing that I have money to call on for anything I desperately need. That's the theory, anyway; I don't think anything could quite prepare you for it.

Im with you, yes winning 100M would be awesome and it also depends on the person situation, but being the first person that does something would be known throughout history is something. Im good with my life right as it is so yeah, but if i was like going to be in the bottom end of society then 100M doesnt sound to bad right now.

and you could break the workd record for being the riches man alive so that sounds better then a 100M i like 100Billion or trillion
