Your #1 courting tip? (or myth debunk?)

I'm going to go with my favorite: If you're watching a movie with a girl, choose something scary or chilling and suspenseful. Don't pick a romance movie, because you're probably not the star in it.

The reason? Because after someone feels a lot of tension and their adrenaline starts going, they relax after a time, and naturally want to be close to someone. It's a natural phenomenon after the fight-or-flight response cools down. They feel safer and more trusting to anyone nearby.

Not everyone wants your dick.
Not everyone will like you.
You're not as nice as you believe.
Be yourself, but within reason.

Feiy wants my hog. Also the best courting tip is be kind and don't rape... as in don't make them feel like their getting pressure to do more then willing. Let the hand holding and beyond happen on their time. And pay for everything... some feel like this is old school and sexist since we're all equal, but still catch 22 does apply.

Just as an aside, another way of saying this is that it's often what you *don't* do that seems to turn off some girls. I don't mean that they want you to do *everything*, but it seems like when a guy fails to do something critically important, it affects them differently, but not as much as when a guy tries to do *too much*. And I realize what I just said is ridiculously convoluted and confusing.

Men, on the other hand, can't get enough attention from their love interest, at least during the mutual infatuation phase. I think I can say that safely.

Oh, also, if your girlfriend laughs with you when you're together doing whatever, that's a very quick and easy way to get a *really* good sign that it's a high-potential match.

Best tip (well maybe I'm being biased) is have some manners. It turns me off to see the guy that I'm dating chewing loudly with their mouth open or being rude to others who don't deserve it.

Let them feel comfortable when they're with you. Don't rush things. It will just make you look weird or something.

I'd like to add one that people might feel differently about, but irks me: You don't have to put your arms around each other when you're walking around a freaking mall. It looks stupid. If you were walking across a bridge at sunset, sure, then that's an appropriate occasion for being physically affectionate. But walking down a mall? No way.

But, for the sake of contradicting myself to some extent, as an aside, when I was in a serious relationship for the first time, I told her I didn't want to hold hands on the way to see Collateral, but she insisted. I continuously complained throughout that her hand was too hot, though, but she ignored me.

Don't lie, and be yourself.

PS: At least not from first few dates, you need to get to know person before you start to reveal your dark side

It's hard enough just starting a relationship,it becomes even harder when you have to try not to get caught up in your own lies, because sooner or later your gonna get caught. It's better to just be yourself then you don't have to make up stories to cover the lies when there exposed.

Hhm... i wasn't joking, just saying that you should be slightly better version of yourself and have manners. And im well aware that there is plenty of couples that are on this forum.

Im just saying that during first few dates you shouldn't advertise something like: "ooh yea i spend 2h a day watching manga on fakku".

But if you tell something, say it "the right way". Be kind of like you're... selling yourself? Don't, for example, say bluntly that sometimes you don't wash yourself for weeks... (horrible example)

Don't ever try to lie, being honest in a relationship is better, even if it ends up chewing you in the end, atleast you lived an honest life. Then tell what happened to you to another girl and you'll get a better girl in the end ^_^

lol I dunno about this. Some girls came up to me when I was on a walk a few days ago and while we were talking they asked me why I came to Japan. They said, "Anime, right?" and I said, "No, my hometown was just really boring and I wanted to come somewhere exciting." Which was true, but obviously I do like anime too. Anyway, later that night I ended up getting laid, so yeah. I don't see a problem with little white lies depending on the situation lol.
