I LOVE dark humour. The shock aspect of it and how dark it is sometimes really makes me laugh. But a lot of people nowadays seem to frown upon it.
There is a podcast I listen to called "Wrestling Soup". It's a comedy show that should be about wrestling, but they don't it seriously at all which is pretty rare for wrestling podcast and which is why I love it. They get completely shitted on by most of the Internet Wrestling Community because they make dark jokes quite a lot. Like for example, Macho Man Randy Savage died last year. They started the show up and paid their respects for about 3-5 minutes. Then one of host played the theme song from "George of the jungle" and one of the lines was, "watch out for that tree!" and then a crash sound effect. (Randy savage had a heart attack and the crashed into a tree.) It was pretty tasteless, but I still found it hilarious. Mostly because I knew it was a joke and they didn't really have any legit hatred towards him or anything.
Another reason why I like dark humour is because of the light hearted aspect of it. Instead of being 100% at all times about serious issues, sometimes it's just best to laugh at it. If we be serious about stuff all the time and say "that's not funny because it's serious stuff" etc, etc, we end up being miserable about most things in the world. That's just what I think though.

It's acceptable to some degree, but sometimes it just goes too far and is offensive, I have a few black friends (Only a few black people where I live) they find some funny and understandable about black attitude, but some jokes are belittling them which is unacceptable. Even for me, racial jokes about my kind are okay, just don't go overboard.

Hmph.
Anything and everything goes. Joke about 9/11, genocide, torture, death, I don't care. The only thing I care about is whether or not it was done well and made me laugh.

I like dark humor. You sort of feel bad for laughing but you can't help it. Actually, the supposed "funniest joke in the world" uses dark humor. It goes something along the lines of (I mostly just remember the punchline):
A hunter and his friend go hunting one day. They're having a good time when the friend asks to sit down for a bit to rest. So they do. Whilst they are sitting, the hunter's friend spots some strange berries nearby and decides to try them. As soon as he does, he begins convulsing, gagging, and, ultimately, falling to the ground. The hunter panics and whips out his cell phone to call 911.
"This is 911, please state your emergency," the operator responds. "My friend ate some weird berries and now I think he's dead!" To this, the operator says, "Sir, calm down. What you need to do first is go make sure your friend is dead." "Alright, one sec," the hunter says. After a few moments a gunshot can be heard. "Okay, now what?"

It depends on who is around, where as I do enjoy a good dead baby joke, might not be such a good idea to break those out around an abortion clinic or a church. I go by if it's funny, laugh your ass off.

Dark humor often isn't just a joke about something like death, sometimes dark humor can just be the way you look at something like seeing two dead bodies fall and end up in a 69 position for example. If that happened in real life while you were just walking somewhere you'd probably puke your brains out before you realized that it was funny in that way. This is my preferred type of dark humor(not saying I want dead bodies falling around me in sexual positions while I'm walking places) as it's easy to just come off as tasteless when being direct with jokes like this. Adventure Time actually has a good bit of Dark humor to it and is part of the reason I love that show.

Sometimes, not all the time, Sometimes the darker it is, the more funny. Not all the time though, It its terrible and not funny, man thats bad. It if it can make me laugh, I dont mind.

Dark humor and me don't mix, I might awkwardly chuckle but most of the time I just go "... You went there?"

Your avi is the perfect reaction to it. I want to hide my face.
OT: I'm full of it. However, you need to know your timing and area. Oh, there was a fire at the zoo and a few Pandas and Bears got toasted? I guess Smokey is going to have some competition or "Get meh sum pandah steak!". That is perfectly acceptable if it didn't just happen like yesterday. Or like that one comedian who made a joke about the Japanese last year.
Do you know how advanced the Japanese are?
They're so advanced they don't go to the beach, the beach comes to them.
See, that's funny, but the guy said it literally like on the same day it happened or like a day or two later after the incident. Dark humor is the one of the best humor when played right.

Yeah I do tend to laugh to some of the most cruelest, or tragic things. When its a joke I only care if it was well delivered. When its something else like say a funny juxtaposition, or a way someone died, I just can't help it.

Dark humor is awesome, but there is a "too soon" when it comes to jokes about disasters and other sad events.
like a day after the Colorado movie theater shootings there were pictures of 60s spiderman with the caption:
"at least nobody died watching my movie"
it was pretty funny to me, but really tasteless considering the timing and was just the internet being the internet.
this is probably why Sayanora Zetsubou Sensei is one of my favorite series.

I find it pretty funny but don't make the jokes all that often because I've found people get pissed. Obviously if the joke was told at an absolutely terrible time like during a funeral......well I'd probably still laugh at it but I'd conceal it a little better.

Dark humour = the best kind of humour imo. And especially british dark humour. Like the original (british) version of the movie Death at a Funeral <3 Or Louis CKs jokes about rape and other funny things like that <3
And seriously I dont understand why some people get so offended by dark humour. I mean, yeah I wouldnt go tell someone who lost close people at 9/11 about that event even after all this time. But when people who dont have any connections to the event or the people who suffered because of it get offended when I say a joke about it to them is silly imo. I just think its better to try joke about things and just get depressed over them.
I know someone who was sexually abused as a kid and I have laughed at so many jokes about child abuse. I dont feel bad about it, but I just keep my mouth shut about it to that one person. But still I cant tolerate jokes like that if they are about people I know, because thats just speaking bad about people behind their backs.
Also: hello fakku, long time no see. I'm back! D:
