Your Opinion on GameFAQs..?

I use the guide on GFAQs occasionally.

If I do go to the boards it's either Pokemon Black or BBCS:EX just to lurk. It can be interesting when people argue but then it just turns to crap once they start shouting ad hominem at each other.

I go on the forums for games if I need to find out something for that game I also used to use the FAQS on there and write a few reviews.

Some communities don't get the point in have different views to discuss they only want to hear what they think from others.

I went on this christian music festival website once just to get my point across that they never get any good bands and there are a few. All I said was "(A Bands name I don't remember who) are crap why can't we get any good bands instead of these bands who nobody knows. Obviously we expect a one or two of the line ups to be unknown but the whole line up why would people turn up." Banned after one post.

I asked them why they banded me and they said it was because I said negative things about the festival. I debated as a community that there is going to be different points of views if you get rid of every one that doesn't think the same as you that doesn't make it a healthy conversation to progress through. They then changed their mind and said I was banned for offensive language for saying crap. I think it's all down to the moderators in the end if a community is going to be open to healthy conversation if it's full of closed minded moderators that all think a like the community is doomed.

Only go for the cheats and walktroughs, and sometimes the board if I need something more specific.

...I go there only for my harvest moon cheats....

Oh well, the community in onemanga also can't take jokes sometimes.

Fakku is indeed still the best place for trolls.

I would not have gotten through Persona 4 without it, or Katawa Shoujo... or Clannad (yeah I cheat, so sue me).

Mods are retarded, community is retarded, only good thing to come out of it are faqs and cheats.

Never bothered with the community, I just go there for the cheats and walkthroughs.

The community is garbage, but I use it for guides all the time.

Wait no, I lied, I have for walkthroughs a couple times, but I've never been in the forum area.. still sounds horrible.

My opinion on GameFAQs is that they're really loyal to their gamefaq-ing, I'm not sure about the community though.

I only go there if there's a question I need to ask regarding my games.
Though, I helped someone with translating stuff for his translation FAQ a week ago.

I was active on the forums briefly. After a while of being called a simpleton for preferring console games over PC games, I realized it wasn't worth it. If they disagree with you, they make sure you know that they think you're stupid.

Sometimes the user reviews are painfully dumb as well. Not because I disagree with them necessarily, but occasionally I read one that's so stupid that I e-mail it to a friend and we make fun of it over the phone.

I only use it for FAQ's and cheats. GameFAQs is great for that.

I've never been to the forum side of GameFAQs, but the walkthoughs and cheats are very well done.
I'll just take your word for it that the forums are bad there, but I'll still go there if I need a guide for a game.

Don't care about the community as long as the FAQs and cheats are there.
