i love tomboys because, well first of all it makes it easier for me to hang out with them on a daily basis. second they usually don't wear make up (make up turns me off), third we can share clothes XD

^-- This, in a nutshell for one of the first things I'm looking for inwardly in a partner. I need a guy who... is a guy. I'm a girl myself, (and I do mean I'm a girl.) That standard female shriek when a spider is found? Yeah, I make that noise. So, I'm sadly going to need someone who isn't gonna be like me. Besides, it'd be really amusing in my perspective to see a full-grown man running away screaming from a spider like I do, as sexist and mean as that makes me sound...

Also, like everyone else... Intelligence and maturity. (Which apparently is damn difficult to find these days, or is it just my generation?) I like to carry on political and ethical debates as a hobby, and it'd be boring/frustrating to talk to someone who just doesn't understand what I'm saying... and I'll need someone who knows not to take it as a "personal attack" when we disagree on something.

And for one last note... Loving. While it can make a guy seem mushy and weak, (My dad's words, not mine!) I need a guy who'll cuddle with me when I'm sad, happy, or just plain in the mood to cuddle. Someone unafraid to show signs of affection, and tell me that they love me.

As for physical traits...? I don't really pay much attention to it. I like shaggy hair, tallness, and clear eyes, but that's about it. I notice the physical things after the emotional ones, I find. I'm more attracted by personality, so it's more of a footnote. :D

Yes really ^_^ I find it better for two people to actually care for each other a lot and love the one they are with, rather then have a fling with someone you think is hot on the outside and find out you don't really like the person after spending a lot of time with them =/ Thats awesome ^_^ how long have you been with your girlfriend for? ^_^ And I've always wanted to travel to Japan, I've been thinking about it a lot, but I might hold it off for a little longer.

@ caiyue. Very very true, I would think that if you could share clothes with your tomboyish girlfriend that would be cool ^_^ haha. But I understand what you mean about the make-up, I feel the same way, maybe a little here and there at times, but you don't need to spend hours on it every day to pretty yourself up ^_^. "You are beautiful the way you are, even without the make-up".

@ Firstbornnyc. That nice that you like to keep it simple. I find that better, because you actually get to know the person better if your not looking for so many things that you have to limit your options to "X" amount... at least thats the way I see it ^_^ haha.

@ Skywolfe. I understand what you mean about the intelligence and maturity, it is very hard to find a guy/girl in my generation that lacks those 2 very important qualities. I could go on for hours about how my generation needs to start learning, and become more mature. I see it so often where I live and it is ridiculous =/ I will admit I am quite the cuddlier, but its never really gotten out of hand, but I do notice that I have a side of me that likes the affection ^_^. Also I am glad to hear that there are some people that care more for personality over looks, actually so far I believe all of you that have posted on this thread thing personality trumps looks ^_^ I'm glad haha.

@Circe Visit sometime. Maybe. We do have some great beaches and a great reef. Just stay away from the huge spiders. Those things are creepy.. You can like crush some of them and they'll still be alive, poison them with bug killer (gas trapped by a bucket or something) but as soon as they start breathing air again they'll come back, put them in the freezer take them out and after they dethaw they'll be fine. CREEPY.

I think I've mentioned this before, but to put it simply; A tomboy. If you're afraid to break a nail, or can't take a perverse joke or two without ew-ing in my general direction, kindly march the other way. I prefer someone that can stand on their own, and are open-minded (and I mean very open-minded), but still has the feminine charm to them. Not having the mentality and maturity of a High School-er helps too (a lot).

I always tend to fall for the sidekick, comic relief character... that stays true in real life as well! I like people with a sense of humor. If you can make me laugh, I'm bound to take a shine to you. I have a tendency to get stressed easily, so having someone who can help me "lighten up" is always a good thing!

@ Alex~kun. Agreed ^_^ besides tomboys are cute ^_^ in their own special way of course. Being open-minded is good as well ^_^ And especially having a higher mentality and maturity level is deffinatly something that I look for in a relationship, I can't stand people like that... sometimes. It can be cute if you play it right, but still thats hard to pull off haha.

I couldn't tell you why people get offended off some jokes, thats would be their own opinion, but I understand don't try to ruin everybody else's time complaining about the joke they just made that everybody laughed about ^_^... more incoherent babbling xD lol <3.

@ InuyashaSano. Right down to the point ^_^ I like it haha. I like your addition about the "thick build" its unique and I like it xD haha. Humor is ALWAYS a good thing to have. I don't think you could have a relationship without listening to each other ^_^ so thats defiantly a great thing to have =D. Of course uniqueness is a great quality to have, you don't want someone that wants to be someone they look up to too much, (I guess it could be cute a little bit, but eh), you want that unique quality in a partner ^_^. xD this is my favorite quality that you listed xD being perverted is a great quality to have haha ^_^ I have also never been in a relationship so with not experience of trial and error its hard to know where you stand yourself, and what you need/want.

I like someone who can be really corny... who can make even the most dull joke seem hilarious. A good, perverted sense of humor is nice too! My boyfriend and I often make really tasteless jokes (often at the expense of strangers - of course, never to their face or with the intent to hurt anyone's feelings), and then comment about how terrible we are. It's fun to be with someone who can laugh with you, rather then scold you for a harmless joke.

@ HappyDia01. That cute ^_^. Haha, well I'm glad at least you aren't intending to hurt anyone's feelings. I agree as wel, it would defiantly not be fun if you had to be scolded every time you make a harmless joke. I have a very strange sense of humor, hell I even make jokes at my own expense ^_^ and I would defiantly want to be with someone that could laugh at me, and laugh at themselves as well. <3

I'm Sapiosexual.. my type is someone who is very kind. That is the single most important attribute that I look for in a person. They can't just be kind to me, either. They have to be kind to everyone, without conditions. They also must be intelligent.. I tend to erupt into spontaneous intellectual debate. I'm highly opinionated so if a subject I'm passionate about is brought up, I will not hesitate to put in my 2 cents. I also prefer a partner that is extroverted, as I'm usually pretty shy and slow to warm up. It helps to have someone to counter that in me, and makes me feel safe enough to open up. So.. someone who's a bit effeminate in nature.

@ LolliKittie. That sounds very sweet ^_^ I love your "kindness" addition, with not just having to be kind to you, but to everybody as well ^_^ its very nice since, it does kind of show their true nature, whether or not they are just being nice to you, and not to anyone else =p (or something like that) haha. Intelligence is always a great thing to have, as I can see in the other posts :p a lot of people look for intelligence in a person, and I find that awesome, that there are people that actually look for smart people =D. What kind of subjects are you passionate about? =) I understand the being shy and slow to warm up to people, I'm kind of the same way, I have a little trouble opening up to new people, but once I get to know them well enough I usually let them in ^_^

Anyways, now that I have a moment, I wanted to be a bit more precious on what I see as the ideal mate.



More or less, I want someone who I can be on a similar level with, but I also want to be my opposite so that we can learn from each other and build on strengths and weaknesses.

Yes, I find imtelligence, looks, common sense and motivation important, but of course there is more to it.

Now ideally I would life, end someone who knows how to handle money and save. I know I have trouble doing that after paying bills, and I tend to splurge with what little I have instead of saving a bit of it for a possible emergency.

Having someone with a weird or morbid sense of humor too is great. I laugh at about anything, and my jokes aren't always the purest bits, so someone who can laugh at stupid things but do the same for me would be nice.

A creative personality would benefit as well. I'm always drawing and writing and havimg someone to toss ideas with would be so helpful, hell a collaboration would make me so happy.

I want a gamer... Not some c.o.d./halo addict, but a girl who plays fighting games and plays them well. One of the easiest way I think you can bond with your guy is to play what he plays and be good at it.

Someone who gets that I'm not some party machine and I would only go to a party if its important or if its concerning someone I care about. I don't mind, but I don't plan on getting wasted ALL the time, only if the occasion calls for it. Relating to that, someone who is low maintenance is nice too. I'm not made out of money, I work alot to pay bills and have something to eat, not buying really unnecesary stuff.

The anime stuff ahould be obvious, considering where we all are, but yeah ... Thats mostly what I see. Doesn't seem too hard to fill, right?
