Random input. Based on experience/other peoples experience it would be best to confess rather than doing it half assely and make her realize it. Because it makes you seem more of a man (at least in societies point of view, and most people unconsciously follow it). But you have to set up the atmosphere and moment. After that its up to you. Hell, you could just go up to her, look her deep, straight in the eyes and ask her to be your girlfriend. Fucking sweeter than asking to go out with you

I believe I've been misunderstood. When I say, "make her realize your feelings" I mean show interest and drop subtle hints, bring things forward slowly, a jarring leap forward isn't always the best way to proceed. Make it clear that you're interested before you say it whist still leading room for doubt in the matter (after all, you want there to be at least a little surprise to it). Things don't always happen quickly and sometimes things need to be cultivated. Don't wait until she asks you about it, but if you can get her to think about it, then slowly plant the idea that it is a good idea, then your chances increase. Subtlety is an art, as is timing and over time you'll find that slowly, carefully and diligently making your moves is a good path. It takes more effort and is far easier to misstep than it is in a quick and, I'll be honest, almost tasteless explosion where you simply vomit up the words on sheer nerve. I'm arguing for subtlety because it is a more tasteful approach, an artful one which really takes care and effort. If you can't do it don't attempt it, missteping will firmly place you in the friend zone or if overdone ends in a restraining order.

I understand that. I've already been hinting her the idea for some time now, off an on, over the past 2 years. She gives me more attention, so at least I know that my subtlety and patience has some effect. I suppose when I said "Oh, believe me, when the time comes where I create that atmosphere and moment nothing will stop me" I meant I would do that after I have cultivated a relationship with her. I wouldn't say "I love you" because I find that as misconception of "I like you" - the word "love" is something said later down the road. That moment and atmosphere will be created after I have spent enough crafting the relationship, and, at that time, I'll say something along the lines of "I Like you"
