Made on the contrary to the best finds thread, name a moment when you spent so much money on something that you could have gotten cheaper or the money could've gone to a better cause.

I...Spent $460 at a strip club because I wanted to get my rocks off. At an anime convention, I bought a dakimakura that I could've gotten cheaper and what really rubs salt in the wound, is the fact that is was the wrong character.

Tried to play stocks, got unlucky and lost 2500€ in first day when stock dropped something like 20% learned my lesson, will never ever ever do it again.

Firearms as a hobby, I bought my rifle back in the middle of the gun ban scare this year and overpaid by about 300 dollars, but I really wanted it so it doesnt bother me much now, also at a convention last year I had a few drinks and bought an expensive figure from the dealer room that I regret.

Ooh yeah, this made me remember, bought kimber rimfire target as .22 pistol to practice whit, was total piece of shit, problems every second shot, in -20c would not work at all and had to load manually.
Had to buy other gun just so i can practice and sell old one to gun store. that made me about 800€ money loss.

What type of rile did you get (model)?

Bought a car for $1,000 USD and it drove it from San Antonio to Budah (I think that's how it's spelled, anyway that wasn't my destination it was DC). It broke down there and I couldn't afford to fix it. I ended up ditching it on the side of the road and I rode a bike back to San Antonio (I honestly did that, it was an awful experience). Anyway that car was the worst thing I spent money on.

Spent money on some steak tartar that got me sick the next day.Never gonna eat under raw meat ever again .lol jk

Seriously though I spent money on some soda at McDonald and they gave me all ice and barley any pop. Never ask for ice at mcd's again if you get a drink there.

L.A. Noire (65 bucks) which I bought impulsively without realizing it was nothing like GTA IV or RDR, hardly played it. FIFA 13 (65 bucks) which, even with thorough research, surprised me quite negatively. Back in 2008, I was playing a stupid browser game and invested some money on a very weak character instead of starting a new one and I did the same with a MMORPG.

It was a non matching Yugoslavian SKS in excellent condition, and I paid 550 for it which was insane, but I really wanted to go shooting.

Thats the next gun ill be getting, probably at the end of this month, but 550 for any SKS is ridiculous, they used to be 250 dollars.

On the original topic: My PSVita and 3DS, it seems the only use they ever get is when I go to cons or on a trip somewhere, and there is a lack of games.

Yea, but I think the price are going up because we are starting to kinda lean towards them due to Prez. Obama law (I think).

Typically enjoyed the things I bought.

But the worst offender were the games I bought (like Colonial Marines)... and some 18+ sites that I forgot, for nearly a year, that I had subscriptions to. Lost a great deal of money there.

Didnt get it because of the scare, got it because I didnt want to wait and had some extra money, it just happened to be during the whole shitstorm.

Probably my first remote control drift car... Spent like $600 on it.. when it would have been like 20x better still stock. Sold it on for $150 :/

That livestock supermarket I tried to open two years ago. Closed it due to lack of competent personnel, but mostly because of lack of trustworthy employee. One of them embezzled more than $6,000 under my nose. As far as I'm concerned, I lost about $35,000 in this investment. Bummer, I know.

I spent 200 dollars on a broken Atari Jaguar. At a flea market a guy was selling a Atari Jaguar with about 10 games (some semi rare games, 2 controllers, official S-Video) so I thought I was getting a good deal since Atari Jaguar's are about 100 dollars alone online. I get home and the thing doesn't work. I got so mad that I wanted to go back to the guy but the flea market was gone (as it was one of those once a season flea markets).

It took me 8 months before I broke down and brought one on eBay that I knew was working for around 100 dollars.
