The anime is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. The first season is done and I believe plans have been announced for a second. If u get it, the episodes might come in a weird order, they were aired out of order on television in Japan. Personally I say watch it chronologically and not in the mixed up way it was aired.
