In your perspective and values, do you think abortion is wrong?

Im a guy and i feel abortion is WRONG! And any guys that makes or lets his partner go for it is terrible!!!!!!This is exactly the problem. As men, you and I should have absolutely no say in this topic. It's a topic about women, let the women work it out.

But i feel the guy plays an important role as well. Since he is invlove, he sud be responsible for it. Abortion not only kills the life of a child but also impacts the women's health. I think if guys are responsible and supportive den abortion rate would drop.
Den again, its juz my thinkings.

And having a kid feeding off of her for nine months doesn't? Never mind having to support said kid once he's been born. Do you have any idea how expensive it is to put a kid through school these days? Setting college aside for a moment.

And how many responsible and supportive guys do you see around here?
There's plenty, I'm sure, but there's also plenty of pricks who get a girl knocked up and then head for the hills when she comes looking for support.

Hell no.
Kills a life,
lowers the probability of having children.
Seriously, condoms are there for a reason.

i made a post just like this! and it was titled the same exact thing to! but nevermind that right now. i do think abortion is something that a women has a right to do if she feels so. it is not about wether its wrong or not, its about if a women wants to abort, she should be able to without someone telling her its wrong. its not about morals, its about choice, and i think women should have their choices. (seriously! i ssoo made a post like this! XD)

No problem with abortion here.
I don't remember a damn thing before I was about 2ish, so I conclude that my mind was not truly online until that point. I was not alive in my view of the word, and I really don't care much if someone aborted/killed me before then. Once I hit that magical, indistinct point where I became a conscious, selfish being, then I would have had a problem with the whole death idea.
Society seems to have a problem with infanticide, and I somewhat understand that. You carried something 9 months, you're probably in for the long haul. Up for about a year after birth, kids are little more than animals, in my opinion. They're not human or alive until their mind comes fully online. (not full capacity, exactly, but there's a point in there where you start to remember and become something more than a larva.) Death before that moment (admittedly impossible to determine from an outside, and probably inside view) is fine, again, in my opinion.
Since I have no idea exactly when something becomes alive, the cutoff date for abortion/infanticide should be before the baby draws breath, just to make sure you're not killing something that's aware.

I'm fine with an abortion.
Honestly, I don't care if the guy wants to keep it or not, it's in my body and if I don't want it, it's gone. People can say pretty things like "We'll make the decision together", but really, if the chick isn't ready to handle it, then they shouldn't have it. And in some cases they still do have it and it turns out to be in a really messed up environment. I do however believe that once you are past a certain amount of time (ex. 4 months), then you just need to go ahead and have the kid (but really, who wouldn't know they are pregnant for 4 months?!)

Depends on the case, except incest created babies, they should be destroyed without discussion. Why? Even born if incest, they're still people?
Is it because they would have deformities or disabilities? If so, then we should just abort any child with a disability or deformity. We could wipe retardation off the face of the earth. At least, for a little while.

Most often then not, I would say 'No'. I'm not saying though we should abort children like that, afterall, you don't know if the child is going to come out that way or how bad it is going to be. I just wonder what they think of their quality of life though (if they can rationalize that though in the first place). Deformities...just get fixed with surgery.

Most mentally retarded people I have met and seen have all been extremely happy.
I've also met a lot of people in wheelchairs who can barely use their legs and arms. They seemed happy enough, despite their problems.
Regular people like you and me only hate the thought of being disabled because we know what we'd be missing. That, and we haven't been pushed into a situation where we either adjust or die. It's amazing, the will of instinct, what a person will live with as long as he/she lives.
But I'm not saying I'm against the idea of killing everyone with disabilities. Just offering their side of the argument.

Maybe they are proof that ignorance is bliss.
Also, not to advocate incest, but first generation incest babies, even among direct relatives like siblings, have almost no greater a chance of developing any problems. Now, if you and your sister had two kids, and they fucked and had a kid, then you might start having some issues.
But if you knock up your cousin, your baby will have the same chance of being typical as if you had knocked up the chick down the street.

This gives me hope.

I'm going to say i dont know to abortion. No 7 month aborted babies or whatever. Do it the first day. If you forget, oh well, your having a baby.
I really don't care about abortion though. Maybe if I stayed in chruch longer, I'd have an opinion or something.

There was an interesting article in Newsweek. It discusses Pro-life Atheists. Their argument against abortion is because "life in and of itself is unique and special". The religious stance on abortion is usually because "life is sacred because it is given by god". It is rather interesting to see how two very different outlooks can come to the same conclusion on such a divisive topic.

Currently, I am Pro-choice but, the more I think about it the more I notice inconsistency in American laws. Currently, you can have an abortion and it's legal but, if a pregnant woman is murdered the murderer will be charged with double homicide (one for the woman and another charge for the unborn baby). Now for those of us who support abortion you would have to, by logic, support changing the law so that someone can't be charged for the death of an unborn baby in such a circumstance.
If you get the chance I suggest picking up a copy of this Newsweek (Has black & white picture of Obama boarding a plane). The article is on page 18 and is title "No God- and No Abotions"

I am an athiest, but my view is kinda mixed. Of course abortion shouldn't be a form of contraceptive, it should only be as an absolute last resort, like if the condom and morning-after pill both fail. I try to empathize with the woman's view though, especially after watching 'The Cider House Rules' (Theron, Caine, Meguire).

Yeah, I'm definitely pro-choice, because I believe it's better than making it illegal. I'm sure someone's already said it, but there will always be so many reasons for and against every which way, which will affect each situation differently. It would have to be done on a case-by-case basis, and so much would have to be taken into consideration that neither choice will always be better than the other.

I think this is a difficult topic...
And it depends on your situation.
I was totaly against abortions.
I hated the thought of killing a 'baby'.
But I find it difficult to carry babys and have lost several,
eventually managed to carry my daughter.
I fell pregnant again when she was a few months old but during my pregnancy I was in and out of hospital.
So I was told to abort or become really ill or even the worse.
I went for the operation when I was 4weeks gone.
So yes I did have to change my mind about it.
But I hate that some people use it as a contraception.
