And technically, in order to wear this you have to insert it inside yourself, so if you're a virgin or something you're technically raping yourself. So every time a woman inserts a tampon for her menstrual periods, she's raping herself? Or is that only when she's still a virgin?

Hell, I'd wear it. If it snapped down on his cock, he'd pull out and be in pain, giving me a couple seconds to start running. I thank this woman for creating something innovative regarding protection for potential rape victims. You have a very positive view on all this ,but highly unrealistic...a product that will SLIGHTLY increase your chance of getting away but will dangerously increase the amount of aggression felt by the attacker (possibly fueling him to kill the victim) is not really very efficient..also the device does little to deter actual violence and simply stops rape , which is great..except you just gave a most likely very sick individual a dick full of sharp metal..on a side note people making this product seem to assume rape always involves only two people..an attacker and a victim , when in many of the nations where the target demographic of this product live, it is not unlikely for a women to be attacked by multiple assailants..so you have one guy injured and mad with all his buddies ready to go...I wonder how likely it is you get raped to DEATH..hmmm..in all seriousness a taser ,pepper spray , or hell even a freaking rape whistle will probably do you more good in the long run.
Have you even read any articles about this? (Here's one.) There is no metal involved, and these so-called "teeth" don't even break skin. I don't know how this doctor engineered it so, but it's supposed to be so painful that the man can't even urinate or walk once it's attached. So in a scenario in which there are only two people involved, it will make a difference.
I agree with your point about scenarios in which multiple individuals are involved. In that case though, there's only so much one person alone can do.
Was going to respond, saw this post, everything I wanted to say is practically said.
Let's say there is one guy and it happens, I think he'll be more preoccupied with his painful dick for a minute than me. I mean if it's really as painful as it sounds and he can't get it off, then won't he be trying to take it off? It just seems to me that I'll have a little bit of time to escape if it's just one person.
With multiple individuals, how much could you do anyway? Even if I took martial arts, I doubt I could take them all on. I'm sure if I tried to use pepper spray I'd miss a few who would then grab me.

Your right my mistake I confused another device with the more recent Rape-aXe, that does actually contain metal but performed a minor penectomy ,unlike the sheath effect of the Rape-aXe , but on topic how do you think majority of rape is preformed exactly...I assume rape in your mind involves the women on top ? performing reverse cowgirl perhaps ? Also the argument unable to walk is more assumption then fact the device in no way disables the legs/nervous system/ or overall cognitive ability...yes pain will be a major deterrent , but if a you really doubt blind fury as a motivator..well i guess we'll hear about it on the news as "South African women Disemboweled over new Anti-Rape product" ,and for those who say he'll be in to much pain to do anything at all..exactly how much effort do you think it takes to strangle someone ?

A. What chiwa said.
B. You do realize that the word "rape" implies an absence of consent, right? By definition, it is impossible to rape oneself.

Im sure some of you guys have concieved the idea to hurt someone to the point of rape onceno, I have not.
I said some of you guys, most men aren't crazy but in rage hateful thoughts do spiral, its natural.
It is most certainly not natural. Don't even say such foolish things. Wallow in the depths of your own depravity if you prefer, but don't try and drag the rest of us down there with you.
Feelings are natural, when you're angry you think irrational things, doing them and thinking them are two different things. No ones a saint sir, if you've ever thought of hitting someone that's irrational, maybe not as extreme as rape but as long as you don't do it, it really doesn't matter.

Spoiler:
Check out this interview. She brings up an interesting point about this condom possibly provoking further violence. Since this condom can only be removed through medical procedures, the rapist is eventually going to be caught. The question is: does he want to be caught as a rapist, or does he want to be caught as both a rapist and a murderer?
As for your woman on top rape comment... What? I'm trying to figure out what point you were attempting to make, but I can't find it. If you were trying to single out how there is room for abuse by women, then yes, I do agree with you on that point. This could certainly be used as a tool of revenge by some women with malicious intent.

I'm not sure if this was posted before or not, but if it was, sorry.I'm dumb and just found out about this, but pretty much the idea of it is a woman inserts a condom inside her and if a man tries to violate her during that time it will clamp tightly on his dick, so tight that he wont be able to pee, but not rough enough to actually tear skin. It hurts brutally because it has "teeth" in it to make the male suffer and can only get it off by doctors.
At first glance it seems like a good idea.
Personally though, I don't support it.
Just for this one reason and one reason alone.
I'm sure some of you guys have concieved the idea to hurt someone to the point of rape once, was it not feelings more of hatred rather then "Man I wanna get laid tonight, hey sweet thang wassup?" Rape 9/10 times is hatred based, not for the sex.
Yes.
Hentai lied to you.

I have heard the same thing that rape is based more on violence than sexual
release. I think that those anti-rape devices should be available for women to buy
for their own self protection. The problem with them in my impression is that a
woman can use it on a unsuspecting man (whom is not in the act of raping the
woman)as a weapon that will destroy not only his member but also his reputation,
and also the fact that the device may make the situation worse for the woman
during the rape. But if used responsibly I think that they would be an excellent
tool for self preservation in most cases, and a chance to get revenge on the would-be rapist.

my mistake perhaps i should have been more clear , what i meant by women on top was dominant positioning which she will most likely not have . If a women is pinned under her most likely stronger ,and heavier attacker a moment of weakness from the attacker may give the victim time to run IF she can escape the grasp of said attacker..is it more likely with the aid of the device yes , but IMHO it is much more likely the individual will simply grab onto the victim on instinct , then realizing the cause of the injury proceed to become violent..is it possible he will roll off in pain..sure..is it possible the women will escape the would be rapist grasp ? maybe , what i do know is that rage clouds judgement ,and they wont be thinking "rape/murder charges" they'll be thinking "this bitch needs to die" besides the reason these men rape these women so frequently is cause they feel they can get away with it with ease..

Even if the victim wasn't killed because of the anti rape condom, by hurting the perpetrator, it might provoke further acts of violence.
I also love how there is no mention of rapist who might actually check the vagina/anus for this device, especially since its been so widely advertised by the news.

Let me introduce you to the only effective anti-rape device with a proven track record:

...a gun. Since it holds the potential to kill the perpetrator and kill him right now (so it's not about him realizing what the far future consequences of his actions *might* be), it's the most effective deterrent.

True enough. But still, after seeing this condom thing, I'm not sure a gun is funny enough to be used against rape anymore. :P

This has always baffled me. Maybe I just don't have the proper rapist psychology, but I've never inserted my penis into a woman with having previously put a finger in there...

Flaser ftw! I remember reading about these things though a little while ago. The effectiveness would be minimal at best I think, due to numerous things people have already said.

That's just silly. I feel safe about anyway. I just try not to walk home alone at nights.
Besides, walking around with a condom on yourself all day shouldn't feel that good...

1. Take bear trap condom.
2. Carefully turn it inside out.
3. Place on dick as alternative for condom and secure tightly.
4. Stick dick into obnoxious cheerleaders' ass.
5. ???
6. Sweet tears and cries of agony.
P.S. This stuff was out like 3 years ago. CNN sure is up on top of news...

OWWWWWWW no! At least guys have EXTERNAL damage.
And as to news, yeah, but they made an updated version and the maker is promoting them to locals near the World Cup in South Africa, I think.

Wow I don't what fucked up family you live in where you think most guys have thought of raping someone. Most of the people I know that are male and talk with a lot have never feigned interest in raping someone.

The same thing a woman should do: report it. There is no shame in reporting non-typical, male rapes by females, despite society saying "WOOOO SEX YEAH NO PROBLEM WITH THIS".

I was thinking more along the lines of prevention.
