Are you concerned about global warming ?

I am somewhat concerned, concerned as in my state. I live in Alaska, we've been getting less and less snow each year and it really pisses me off. :? I want my snow back!
It snowed less than a week ago in Washington.
Global warming isn't a concern of mine. It's set to happen anyway (looking at the larger scale measurements), along with Mount Rainier (I live on it---not the best plan, I'll admit), the polarity of Earth's magnetic field, and the Rapture.

Ah yes, global warming, or as the rest of the world calls it, climate change. Is the Earth undergoing significant change in terms of its ecosystem? Yes. Are humans the cause? Who knows. The fact of the matter is that the Earth has been undergoing huge shifts in climate ever since creation. Each shift resulted in some significant evolution/extinction, so I don't see what everybody is getting so worked up over. If it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen. Not much we can do about it. Hope our scientists can create some sort of bubble technology that will render our cities impervious from enormous external pressure and usher in the new age of Atlantis.
Who knows, we may even evolve gills. How awesome would that be?
On the other hand, we may have another Waterwold on our hands, and everybody remembers how bad THAT movie was.

For as long as I've been "aware" of being alive, I've always said that humans will get what is coming to them. The sad thing is that everything else will suffer in the process. Do I have sympathy for humans? Yes I do. Although I hate it, I am human. That's a fact. All is one and one is all. Humans can step on smaller creatures without even noticing, but the fact of the matter is that the significance of those creatures is the same as us. For years, I've been horrified by the bombardment of my own realizations that size doesn't matter. We all end the same way and is that not enough to reveal what global warming, or even the very concept, could imply?

I am very sorry that the human race will eventually be anihilated
but it cannot be helped.
I am a very egoistic being so I ,of course, want to enjoy the latest doujins on FAKKU! the latest Anime shown on the Internet and celebrate as many birthdays i have as possible.
It's clearly a problem we humans made, but the human race was always a little but too greedy.
Man, it cannot be helped, was is done cannot be undone.
blablabla, i will just going to repeat other opinions so
have a nice day through, it's kind of warm today, isn't it o0

the Earth’s surface temperature has risen .4 degrees Celsius in the last 25 years. This has grave implications for the Earth’s future. Fortunately, there are things we can do to slow global warming.
1:Plant trees in your yard. Trees will shade your home, reducing the need for air conditioning. Trees also drink up about one ton of CO2 during their lifetime.
2:Buy food products grown by local farmers. Local products don’t have to be transported long distances, reducing CO2 emissions.
3:Use cloth bags when shopping at the grocery store. Electricity is required to make plastic, which puts more CO2 into the air.
4:Turn off and unplug TV’s, computers and other electronics when they are not in use to reduce the amount of electricity needed for your home.
i think there more to it but i forgot so i think you should watch more national geographic it good for your brain anyway.

I dont know about you guys, when the day comes when our little green planet is about to flatten itself, I'm going to break into military base, grab me a few supplies, break into NASA, launch myself the fuck out of here.
Edit: Of course i'd grab all the anime/manga I could get before leaving our planet.

I couldn't help but lol at that comment.
Launch into space, are you going to the moon or where?

Is anyone else surprised at the number of people who (seemingly) believe that human life is going to end in the next hundred years? Or at how many people don't care about human life ending?
I'm not sure if I'll ever have kids, but if I do, I don't like the thought of them living in a hellhole. Or them being the last generation of humans.
Yes, human life will eventually end, as all things eventually end, but hopefully it won't happen anytime soon. And by soon, I do mean the next million years or so. And hopefully, by the time that disease or the sun or whatever does threaten to destroy humanity, we'll be able to fly away to a different planet or build space colonies or something.
Please don't tell me I'm the only person who feels sick at the thought of all human life ending. I'm not saying that global warming is real or an immediate threat (though I'm also not saying that it isn't real), but it is true that humans pollute a hell of a lot and waste a lot, so it's understandable that years of that behavior could affect the environment and hurt us. Even if global warming is completely fake, it should at least be a wake-call, telling us that we can't be complete douches when it comes to the environment.
Now, I'm not green in any way, but I'm also not a person who drives a gas-guzzling vehicle just for kicks and throws all my trash on the side of the road because it's easier that way. I don't know much about taking care of the environment, but I do care. Shouldn't we all be a little concerned about the environment? Saying "We're all gonna die anyway" isn't any sort of solution. It's just being lazy. If we're all going to die anyway, and that's not a problem, then I should just get a gun, go down to a mall, and count men as one point, women as two points, and children as five points.

I personally think that it's not a good idea to rescue ourselves to the moon. This is not Touhou, nobody will be there^_^
This will be quite lonely and i don't want to die of oxygen lack,
i am terrible afraid of that... I will face it on earth, with pronz in my arms, lol

I blame the media, when you hear the sky is falling everyday unless we do (X) then eventually you don't care. On top of that is the mentality that one man can't make a difference and since it appears to them like nobody is doing anything to change anything then nobody cares. That and an indoctrination that being born human means that you are lower than bacteria or a virus. I've heard many times of people classifying humans as a virus instead of mammal. You can see where I'm going with this. A virus destroys its host while repopulating at an accelerated rate and then when the host is just about dead they move to a new host. For us, our "host" is the planet. We fuck with the planets, we trash it, pollute it, rape it and then our "plan" in theory, is to migrate to a new home.

is not easy to migrate to another planet you see if you want to migrate to another planet you must consider the energy you needed to the near planet and amount of weight you carry if not you will be wonder in space forever with no energy and to go to nears planet like mars and you will stuck in the ship for six whole oh if month and mars and the earth have to be at the right positions in their orbit for the launch window only comes around once every 25 months.

Though I agree that such a large migration would be plagued with problems as current technology only allows for a small payload to be carried into space. So a problems lies in the amount of cargo and the amount of available space for human passengers. In the end, only a handful of people will be saved dooming the rest of us to live on a dying or chaotic planet. It just seems that everybody has this plan. Fuck the planet up then jump ship when it takes on water wash, rinse, repeat.

i think there no need to migrate to another planet, we all know why human want to migrate not to make the world a batter place but their just want to find reasouce or just to exteand thier power over the human but there are people just want to know if there are civilazation then human or are we alone in this whole universe.

global warming... hmmm its quite a pain in the ass.. unless some scientologist here is capable of making ozone gasses and releasing it into the air, we got to be ready for the inevitable. who knows we might be the firs ones to live in mars. hmmm....
