And there are many famous scientists who believe in God, Albert Einstien, Max Planck, Sir Issac Newton, Galileo Galilei, Nicholas Copernicus and more. They believe that there is a greater entity that creates us. "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind"
Pffft.
I thought they started believing when they were dying?

Newton, Copernicus and Planck were really religious, that's pretty much the only option for them. Galileo... unclear. As for Einstein, well, he is religious, but not in how he believes in the god that by some magical means boomed the world from nothing, and goes like "Kyaa Mr. X ish doing ebil things! >_<"
And no, Einstein was working on his unified theory when he died. No "Oh shit gawd exist! o_O" moments either.

Damn, you're on your own then Darwin.
Anyway, No. Religion won't mix with science. Cause science will need a conclusive proof. Not just "ching!" 'OMG that's a miracle' 'Q.E.D. man!'

And yeah, science can't mix with religion. The tenet is already different. One demands scrutinizing to the max, and the other goes "All Hail Gawd!". Incompatible is not even the word to describe it.

Then, if a Super Hot rich religious girl ask you for a hand in marriage(she the girl of your dream), but with a price - you need to believe in God, just believe in the present of god. And all her money will be yours.
What would do, pass down the offer and become a truth seeking science guy who will eventually regret such an offer for the rest of your life, or just accept and try to mix the two, or just become a religious guy.

That sounds pretty stupid to me. So, I'll believe in God to bone a girl and to earn money? Seriously? It's just like vote buying, yes I voted for you, but not because I trust you, it's because you'll give me money if I do.

Slightly off topic here, but the bible is a collection of books written and rewritten by men countless times. While some parts are accurate, the bulk has been redone and changed so many times that it no longer even remotely resembles the original. As for science mixing with religion, I quote an issue from the New York Times on the subject. "The book of Revelation's says that 'God once destroyed the world with water, the next time will be by fire.' science Laughed at the verse until World War 2 and the introduction of nuclear weapons" the other quote I take from the same article "The Atheist looking out his attic window at the stars is more often closer to God than the believer caught up in and blinded by his own false conceptions of God".Even if it has been changed from its original form, the bible was written by man from the start so I don't see how it has any relevance or how it can be any kind of support for God existing.

I would not compromise my beliefs for such a shallow reason. I would rather earn my money and earn my "hot chick" anyways. It'll make it mean so much more.

This is no-brainer. I'd fake my belief, of course.
Although I must say this question really shows just how shallow you are, no offense.

Could have sworn that I said that, sorry if it wasn't clear at the start =P

Oh, I wasn't arguing with you. I was agreeing and expanding on that statement. =3

After that, god try to experiment chemical reaction and create the first organism, which later He try to let it evolve to make a spitting image of Himself. The 1st failure was the monkey, but he kept changing the DNA structure until he got an acceptable result which is the Homo-Sapien.Mankind did not evolve from monkeys. Humans share a common ancestry with the great apes. People need to stop making that critical mistake >_<

I agree with mibuchiha.
After all, yes, those men were reaised Christian (I lump all of the chritian religious branches as christian, sue me) however they challanged the bible with science.

Well, that's why critical thinking is so necessary in a peaceful society. The fact that people believe in the shit they do speaks a lot about their critical thinking skeelz.

When we create the "Planetary Napalm Bomb" people will point and say, "AHA! That's actually what the bible meant."

Lesson 1: belief in god =/= religion.
Fun Fact: Based on what I heard about Einstein's letters to some dude, he wasn't religious nor did he believe in a personal god like the kind you think gives a shit about your life. He did believe in a god though, because jizzing his pants with what he discovered, he thought god designed the universe.

Scientist are people who try to find that truth and if they can't prove it to be true 100% of the time it is called a phenomenon. If you can't prove their is a God then you can't mix religion and science.

I think that they can. Even though Im an atheist, our schools valedictorian was religious but didnt believe in creation. So I think that its possible to find harmony between the two.

Good..... As we can see now, the impossibleness of mixing Science and Religion, yet some still see light in the event that one day Religion can mix with sciences. Thought much the of population here isn't open about this.
Well, i still light in mixing them up. Well, i cannot doubt that there the existence of extremist from each fraction, who'll end up killing each other.
Well try welcome the unknown, cause there is some truth to it.

No , because they're contradicting each other.
It's like trying to mix water and oil with a spoon.

You can mix science and religion.
The bible and other holy books has to be interpretted to fit with the world today, otherwise several religions would still be advertising slavery, which they obviously do not do anymore.
And since any holy book or scripture has to interpreted, you can let religion "take over" when ever science does not have a definitive answer to something.
This way they mix very well. The only criteria for mixing the two is really that you cannot reject science for religion, rather you have to update your interpretation of your holy books to be consistent with current knowledge (science).
