Not 100%If you're talking about getting the tubes tied(female), then you're right. It's not %100 percent.
A successful vasectomy(male), however, is %100 guaranteed to not get a girl pregnant as your sperm count is at zero.

that also not true, the only form of successful vasectomy is to remove the man's nuts(castration). a vasectomy can leak, reform a connection back together, or regrow a new connection, but it's rare. the best combo of birth control is man a condom and pull out, and women the pill or the other methods.

Actually, thats true only if the operation was botched. You could calculate in the risk percentage, but "true castration"... thats just too harsh lol
At any rate, The sexologist in me would say to ALWAYS us a freakin condom. Cuz a clean-looking vagina or dick doesnt mean it is "clean". Also, the good ol' "pulling out in the nick o time" is also NOT a viable birth control technique. Girls can totally get pregnant with "pre cum". And the cum thats been shot on the ceiling (or elsewhere)? still viable for a lil while, so dont get any near "making babies" parts. Thats the vagina, you cant make babies with mouth (i say that cuz i REALLY see all kinds of questions in my field...).
BUT! Personnaly, I dont like the condom, but i deal with it accordingly. Im not so much for one nighters, I prefer to get in a long term relationship. After that, its just a question of choice and trust you know? My exes used to take the pill for birth control and everything went smoothly from there. Just be sure to take the pill the right way (no skipping) and be a gentleman, offer your girl to pay your share of the pill. I mean, it takes 2 people to shag right? And get tested every year if possible.

Well, if the operation is botched it could.
But even if it was performed successfully, there is still a chance of it reverse itself.

Well if youre wolverine, dont get that kind of operation.
but seriously, the regeneration can be due to the botched operation itself or if you have over the top regenerative cells. Like, the average person, with a clean, good operation, is gonna be fine with that operation. I mean, the condom, when used the right way, its 95-98% effective I think? The operation is between 99% and 100%. I think its pretty good. Theres risks in EVERYTHING anyway right? I mean, the doc could botch the operation if you get your balls removed and you die from it, maybe. I dunno, maybe theres 1 chance in a gazillion, but it could still be there.
I got my school books for this one lol

How Effective Is Vasectomy?
Effectiveness is an important and common concern when choosing a birth control method. Vasectomy is the most effective birth control for men. It is nearly 100 percent effective.
However, vasectomy is not immediately effective. Sperm remains beyond the blocked tubes. You must use other birth control until the sperm are used up. It usually takes about three months. A simple test — semen analysis — shows when there are no more sperm in your ejaculate.
How Is Semen Analysis Done?
You will provide a sample of your semen by masturbating or by using a special condom during sexual intercourse. The semen will be examined under a microscope to see if there are any sperm.
Very rarely, tubes grow back together again and pregnancy may occur. This happens in about 1 out of 1,000 cases.
Keep in mind that vasectomy offers no protection against sexually transmitted infection. Sexually transmitted infections can be carried in ejaculate, whether or not it contains sperm. Latex or female condoms can reduce your risk of infection.

I'm just saying, it's not 100% like people are saying. It's probably one of the most effective, but it's not 100%.
And condoms is 98% with perfect use. Of course, as I've said before. This is actually kind of sad to have 2% since the chance of a girl getting pregnant is only 8%. (Remember, these are based on yearly.)
So if you want to look at it that way. Condoms are only 75% effective.
Which, for something that is also suppose to help you avoid diseases, is pretty crappy.
Vasectomy. Is something like 99.9% if done correctly.
Significantly better for pregnancy. But still.

Unfortunately the only time I used a condom was when I was at home. The problem came that my last girlfriend said that by carrying the condom I am expecting sex. I tried reason but that only led her to accuse me of cheating then accuse me of accusing her of cheating (she was but I didn't know that at the time). Perhaps it is good that I am no longer in that drama but that of course comes with its own problems, like what to do with the condoms. Anyone know the shelf-life?
