Mustn't Run Away...
I was wondering who here is afraid to die ,and who just accepts it as a fact ,and why ?
I personally fear not existing anymore , but that's just me.

It's going to happen no matter what you do. I choose not to think about it. Death is just a reminder of how I need to cherish every last day and enjoy life while I still have it.
I don't want to be on my death bed thinking of all the hentai I could have fapped to and all the noobish statements I failed to make.

death is as natural as breathing. In a way it brings balance in our world. Although it is painful saying goodbye to the people you love. I would just say live your life to the fullest and if it happens, oh well shit happens. Don't live your life in fear of death. (but don't be stupid and jump in front of cars either -_-')

Possibly this thread's topic is similar with ..

I will just quote mine ..
Far better and beautiful life ..
But if i get asked "do you want to dead now ?" .. i will answer "no", because ..
well,
i'm not ready .. i have things to do first in life .. i have debt to a lot of people in this world .. and i don't want to end it now or before i achieved it
let's just say, i am not afraid but i am not ready atm ..
and yep, all people shall die, now, tomorrow, two days later, week, month or year .. it shall and cannot be denied .. i would accept if it is my fate ..

I think its funny the OP identifies with shinji. I personally don't care one bit. You can do one of 2 things. live life to its fullest with no regrets, or live life more spiritually.

I've always considered suicide an alternative, so no fear of death here. my curiosity is what keeps me going. i always want to know what's going to happen next.
here's a song for you who are afraid.

I'm curious of what lies beyond, but I don't want to die young.
I mean, seriously, do you really want to die without experiencing a lot of *fun* stuff?

Mine would be during one of my daredevil stunts, or being eaten by a dinosaur(not likely).

This is where being an atheist can be interesting. I'm not afraid to die in the sense of the "after", I'd be more inclined to be worried that it will happen before I achieve some things I want to do. Otherwise, it's nothing I dwell on too much. Death comes but once a lifetime!

" Fear not death which has liveth, but death which twas forgotten " Pretty simple. I don't fear death in the sense that, ' oh shi-this is it '. But in the sense that, it will come to soon. Death is your shadow. When you let your guard down, it strikes without word.

I have nothing to fear from death. But I would prefer to outlive my loved ones so that they are not left to mourn for me. Death should not be a sad time.

He who is afraid of dying does not live his life to the fullest. Those who aren't affraid of dying take more risk and die sooner so they are the ones not living their life to the fullest ...
You missjudge people who are affraid of dying in fact , you have to ask yourself the utimate question ; why ? Why are they affraid of dying ? The answer is simple ; they love their life (or they want to love it) , for their friends , their boy/girlfriend , their family , their job or whatever the reason is .. they love the life ... As long as you love your life , you fully lived your life ... (Isn't that the ultimate goal to live ? Being happy ?). They are not affraid of dying , they are affraid of losing their life ..
-They would rater die , than lose their life -
And there is exeptions like the moron who posted before me that contredict what i'm saying ...

I think everyone fears death. It is not easy to let go and travel to the unknown country from whose borne never return (to quote William). However, I hope by the time I die I can make peace with the fact that as I live I must die. I was thinking about it today in the car and I thought that if I do even if I reincarnate I just have to accept it like sleep and give up the fact that I will not retain this consciousness, and will have to accept a new one. If we think about it you can ether find it frightening loosing all you have gained, or find it hopeful you have another chance in another life.
But I have rambled long enough what are your thoughts?

Scared to shit of death. But I could be looking forward to death and it would still be the same. I am going to die and nothing changes that fact. Death would come preferably after living for another 70 years and having a fuck-ton of grandkids though.

A ray of Tsunlight.
What's the point of being afraid of something that cannot be changed?
It'd be like being afraid the sun was going to rise in the morning, or that you'll have to take a shit eventually. Pointless.
I'm personally curious to see what happens. Could be nothing, but at the same time it could be something.
However, I'm not in any hurry to find out, just in case it's the former rather than the latter.
So I'll enjoy my time here whilst I can. And when I do die, then I'll know. It's especially curious to me cause I don't believe there will be a heaven or what have you waiting on the other side.
