Do you hate the U.S?

The fact that the U.S.A. is a huge economical force in the world gives it rights for it to be the world police and jump in conflicts wherever there is a sense of 'injustice'!I call this arrogance.
The ignorance in claiming the U.S. is doing a good job in the world by helping nations in need. Yea, great help. Fox told you that I'm sure.
Pretty much the reason why I can't stand most U.S. citizens.
P.S.
Please do slander my country. I'm not that much of a patriot. For all I care I was born in Africa, South-America or Asia. Place where I am right now just happens to be where I am right now.
So hey, glad you resorted right to directly insulting me. So happy you decided not to be immature about it. Assuming I watch Fox news at all is downright insulting, as 90% of the media in this country is pathetic and just spurns on needless worrying over anything negative they can.
Guess we'll stand to the side next time anything bad happens anywhere. After all, we have the economic muscle to help any country that might get smacked by a natural disaster, but some people want us to keep to ourselves. Sorry Haiti, guess you should just lived somewhere not so earthquake prone.
I can't tell if a few of you are actually serious or just messing around.
First off, yeah our cheap gas prices prove we went into Iraq for oil. And if you're going to try to spew that oil company/government team up plan to drive up gas prices, then fuck off. I don't have time for conspiracy theorys.
Secondly, stop acting as if the US being in a war actually bothers you in any personal way. Chances are, you're not even in the US military, therefore it really has nothing to do with you in any way that could bother you aside from maybe hearing about it on the news.
Also, we're not the only country attempting to stop the North Korean buildup of nuclear weapons, the UN (As in many more than one nation) is against it as well. I don't give a damn your thoughts on nuclear weapons, but no matter what country you live in, an unstable dictator having something that destructive is obviously a bad thing.
But hey, if the UK or somebody else was the main driving force behind the North Korean missle thing, I doubt any of you would bat an eyelash. You just love complaining, and may as well bitch about the US. Everyone else does.

I only hate specific groups of people. But- yes- a great many of them reside in the US of A.
To be fair, I'm quite certain that there's a bunch everywhere else as well.

OK MR. kindofimportant, then I will blame the imperialistic NATO for this problem. As I knew, the USA Is one of the five permanent security council members or P5. But why does the U.N. doesn't look in the USA's Nuclear stockpile? Are they powerless against this imperialistic nation? I know that they got technology in their hands, but it doesn't mean that being a member P5 of UNSC will qualify you for immunity against nuclear stockpile inspections. But as we see, U.K. is almost powerless today that the postwar years. But we know US is using neo-colonialism to gain material and political favors.

You can't logically say that you hate the USA, because it is simply a landmass. To be more specific, you should classify what you hate about it specifically: ie, Gov't/People/foreign policy/ideals
Otherwise (and even if you use the categories above) you are committing a composition fallacy and have no logical basis for your claim. To be fair, you can only claim to hate the specific actions or people you know whom you harbor specific loathing towards, but don't be an absolutist fool who either says that OMG!!! USA SUCKS!!!, or OMG!!! USA IS PERFECT!!!, when in reality you have no idea at all what you are talking about.

I immigrated to the States 3 years ago. I must say that even now it's pretty hard for me to understand Americans. Why do they keep saying they hate their country. I mean, it's not perfect, and as an outsider I have a basis for comparison, so i would know. You hate the people, the country, the attitude, whatever... so what? Not like you can single-handedly change any of that. Don't waste your time bitching. I come from a shit hole of a post Communist-regime country and I still take pride in my origins.
(I can see why people might say you are arrogant and they wouldn't be too far from the truth. But so are many other peoples all over the world... who cares, it's bullshit)
peace ❤ and don't be haters, k?
PS: I totally agree with the guy above... generalization = wtf?!

I not really a U.S hater even thought i know what they had cause in my country. Making our poor citizens doing a crazy 24hours + labour work with a salary lower than 1 dollar a day. Destroying our enviroment by throwing all the chemical waste to a beautiful bay rendering it destroyed and really difficult to be recoved anymore.
But the my most hate would went to my own country goverment which could agree and bow down to money. If you guys would said that i was not patriot it is better rather than i follow my countries ideology andd dies in the future.

America is a gift to humanity, just look at all the good that came out of the self proclaimed greatest nation on earth. Sure they like to war monger from time to time but who doesn't? The swiss! And who wants to be like them! Chocolate and cheese eatin' pansies, if you ask me.
Now, I'm Canadian and i know for a fact that America has contributed more to civilization and just general progress than any other country. I've had this conversation a million times with my friends goin over every pro and every con to our southern neighbours and i'm not saying they aren't flawed but i am saying they are better. They know it (hence their arrogance), we know it (hence our hatered)...
and dems da brakes!

I wish I got to this post earlier... *-*
I love America with all my heart, my ancestors died getting beat, raped, lynched, and whipped trying to do what their 'masters' told them to and in the end result created the best damn country in the world. People claim to hate America because we're arrogant when they don't even know who we are or what REAL American's have to go through on a daily bases. We're not the rednecks drinking a six pack shooting his magnum in the air, we're just people trying to live out lives the best we can and do it as well as we can. I've read some things about Freedom of Speech, look no matter whats happening to our freedom of speech just be grateful you can say ANYTHING AT ALL! Go to North Korea and see how much they can say(if you can get in of course). And about the wars, I'll admit our GOVERNMENT has put us in a few uncomfortable wars, but in the end it was to help others and if you can name ONE war we entered for a dumb reason I'll personally send you 100 American dollars via PayPal. How could you hate what you don't know, so next time get you facts straight before you start discriminated against an entire group of people.

FUCK YEAH AMERICA I LOVE YOU.
Heh no not really, I really don't understand how someone can have love for their countries past and their country in general. Then again I don't know how someone can hate a country. It's all lines on a map,In terms of American history is has a very interresting history a history of torture, rape, slaves,The American war of independance,American Civil war (which the north used Terroist actions burned down towns raped women was a fucking shit storm to be honest) America has a very rich and Diverse history and in this fact yes I like the country. The idea of going "WELL FREE SPEECH ERGO AMERICA PWNS LOLOL GO BACK TO NK" it's all very silly the fact is the word hate here seems to be used a dislike context rather than a full on hate. The US along with many western countries are amazing places to live better than the majority of the world anyway.
But, the fact still remains we want the countries we live in to be improved, One should not hate ones country or Like it. Everyone should merely try to improve it and by complaining and pointing out errors once people get riled enough about something it gets changed (well that's the idea but lets not go into that)

I don't hate the US but I do believe that each person has a country that identifies best with their beliefs and personality. I also believe that it takes more guts and is more of a challenge to create a life in a country other than the one you were born in especially if the language and culture are radically different. I don't believe the US is my ideal country and if I had to choose one it would probably be Japan. Unfortunately I am stuck here of my own volition until I am satisfied that my education, Japanese fluency, and other knowledge that will allow me to survive and create a life in Japan are up to par. I intend to study abroad in Japan at the very least for one semester though I would prefer two and once I get my bachelor's degree I will probably apply for the JET program to teach english in Japan simply so I can see the country some more and also so I can get an in-depth look at how Japanese High Schools operate.
So my answer is pretty much, No, I don't hate the US but I'm not loyal to it, and depending on my visits to Japan I may or may not choose to emigrate there. Although even if I choose not to emigrate it will always be my first vacation destination, that much I can say for positive even without having visited

semper fideleis my friends. every man and woman has the right to be patriotic and loyal to the end, even to the point where it seems conceited or arrogant. americans are pegged as the prime example of a self-absorbed country due to its excess of commercial support for patriotism such as supporting their troops, but is it really a suprise? its generally regarded as the most powerful country in the world, your bound to hear what the over achievers have to say about their performance sooner or later. more power to them, its quite obvious their methods are effective at achieving some fraction of the goal they intended to reach. im canadian and very patriotic about my country, theres no where else in the world as culturally diverse as we are and this exemplary coexistence has changed my life for the better.
Im going to have to respectfully disagree with that last part, we here in america ever since the mid-to-late 1800's have been regarded as "the great melting pot of the world" for a reason we have native americans (i am one), asian's, hispanic's (that includes mexico and all of the south american countrys as well as people from spain), Russian's, European's (all country's especially ireland)EXT. my point is that we Literally have people from every country you have ever heard of and probably quite a few you haven't heard of. again with no disrespect i live in the upper peninsula of michigan and i know and are friends with alot of people in canada, but MOST im not saying all but most people in canada are french, alaskan native (eskimo) and mexican.

@Pd: Rbz and Tsurayu both have valid points. Religion plays a huge role in our politics. Everything from censorship, gay marriage, abortion, ten commandments in government buildings, the list goes on.Anyways, on the topic at hand. I'm an American, I love my country but, my complaints about the general idiocy that seems to be taking hold of the people like some sort of stupid plague. Another complaint is the way the government has been ignoring the very principals of what it was to be American.
I love my country(land) and I believe it is the best. We have a variety of terrains and awe inspiring views. Especially, when traveling through the Appalachian mountains or new england. As for my government, the founding principals (such as the constitution) are what I believe to be the best crafted legal documents in history but, the current incarnation of government as well as those that have been around in our lifetimes are nothing less than sickening to me.
It has it's flaws but, there is nowhere else I would want to call home.
i believe i have the perfect thing to add to that
"It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried"~~~~~Winston Churchill~~~~~

if i could i would give you + rep
I agree with you completely on virtually everything you said, we have done more to advance civilization than any other country (exept mabey ancient rome (they were geniuses)) on the planet. you may disagree with me but consider this. our NASA program invented everything from aluminum and titaniam, to invisible braces, water filters, long distance telecommunications, cordless tools, smoke detectors, shoe insoles, ear thermometers, memory foam, and scratch resistant glass and that is only ONE part of our country. we invented the Radio and we were the first ones to discover, harness, and commercialize Electricity. (little break for the eyes)
we Essentially invented home computers with Apple (Steve Jobs is the LORD!!) and microsoft. we invented the internet which is arguably one of the most important invetions in all of human history. we won 2 WORLD WARS and a cold 1, invented the nuke and have helped more country's than any other in the history of the planet (money, humanitarian supplies, medicine...EXT) and perhaps our most important contribution to the human race....Democracy...our American Revolution, our blood and our Freedom IS ( ya thats caps to emphasize the IS) the reason that all the other democratic nations ( Britain, Germany, France, Canada...i don't need to list em) are in existence today, your very FREEDOM is because of us. otherwise the planet would still be under the rule of Monarchy's.
So please before you bitch and complain about the U.S consider all of what we have contributed to the world (and i didnt even begin to scratch the surface) so in a conclusion we get bragging rights for pretty much everything and for good reason

You are obviously a smart guy but I don't think you have an understanding of Canadian multiculturalism.
FIRST: The Melting Pot isn't a metaphor for multiculturalism.... it's a metaphor for assimilation.
SECOND: Canada is referred to as the world's greatest Mosaic so you kinda stepped beyond your reach on that one...
I'm happy for the existence of the US, and ultimately terrified that they will start a war with us in the coming years to capture all our base.
On a more serious note, i would rather live here than live in the US because we get everything the US gets without any of that hassle... :P (maybe not EVERYTHING)
LOL, I actually plan to move to California for a few semesters so i guess I'll get a greater understanding in the field!

Anyhow.
First of hating America and hating Americans are two totally separate things. I have nothing against the american people. But I do have something against your government sticking its nose where it doesn't belong. And that tradition of nationalism that you have is quite scary. But other than that I have nothing much against the US.
