It's all about point of view really. What gives those guys the right to go out and harass the Japanese whalers? It may not be their entire source of income but no doubt it has to provide income or they wouldn't waste time on it.
Regardless of what I did for a living if some chump took it as his right ( or thought it was for the betterment of one cause or another) to interrupt me or tried to screw me over so I made less money, I'd be pissed off too. No doubt the whalers will start being even more aggressive.
I suspect so I think we're going to see more use of LRADS.
The problem with these hippies is that they keep wanting people to stop whaling but don't seem to realise this is the livelihoods of these fishermen. Not to mention they don't offer any solution for these fishermen who will undoubtedly go out of business.

You know, I have to wonder how exactly it is legal for them to be attempting destruction of personal property (them trying to stop the propellers on the ship would constitute it.)
And considering there's evidence in the form of a tv show.
Ridiculous.

It's illegal but the Japanese government doesn't have the backbone to stick up for itself.
Sea Shepherd are lucky that no one has been hurt yet, at the rate they're escalating their actions I can see security contractors being hired to keep them at bay and we all know that things can get messy with them folks.

eco-terrorists annoy me constantly. it's another thing to ask someone to be eco-friendly but to go on a war wtih it? that's breaking the Law. people died because of them, innocent i might add. i can understand Whale Wars it's justified and i can respect that

The line is drawn when people get killed or injured. Period.
As to whaling...who are we to stop them? As much as I don't like it, people can't just say "HEY STOP THAT!" and it stops because this is an entire country and culture eco groups are going up against, this is one of those tricky things where a lot of snaking around is required. Even then...it's a slippery situation to get across with all the lost jobs and increased demand if whaling does stop.

The whole Japanese whaling thing is a facade and a prime example of propaganda. Firstly the type of whale that the Japanese fish are Minke whales. Which are NOT endangered species, far from it in fact; estimated over 100,000 of them in the North Atlantic alone and with the yearly whaling harvest being just over 1300 i don't see them being extinct for a long while yet.
Tuna fish on the other hand will become extinct in the next decade (93% of adult blue-fin tuna fish since 1960 are extinct to put it in perspective), but of course no one really cares about that.

I saw a preview or something for this show the other day. the old bearded dude walks into the cabin and says some shit like, "i think i was shot". then he pulls out a smashed bullet from under his shirt. the whole thing looked fake to me, and the whalers denied shooting at them. he wasn't acting like he got shot. even with a bullet proof vest, you'd get a pretty wicked bruise and be in a fair amount of pain. i doubt the whalers would shoot at them with all the cameras around, and there would have been an international incident if he really did get shot. plus the odds of hitting him on a moving boat from anothr moving boat are pretty slim. they would have made a huge deal out of it too. the near martyr angle seems like something they'd be all over.

Humans are dying left and right. From poverty, diseases, murder, etc. They will ultimately wipe each other out.....but at least the animals are safe.

Saying 'I could care less' says nothing about your stance on the subject. I could say 'I love cheese cake with all my being, but I could care less'.

I realy don't agree with the methods sea sheperd uses, 'cause I can't find the difference between throwing stink bombs and trying to ruin the ships and bombing a building, what these actions seek is not the bombing or the ruining the ship, it's making an statement.
anyway, the thing is I'm not really ok with hunting either, I'm ok with raising animals for eating, but hunting causes unbalance and that's unnacceptable for me. I think they should try to make more significant changes like looking for more serious international laws on the matter instead of harassing people like they do.

Just a quibble with what you said--hunting isn't always bad and doesn't always cause imbalance. Proper hunting practices can keep prey populations at stable levels, and it is actually better for the environment compared to large-scale factory farming. But overhunting, or hunting of endangered species is definitely bad.
Anyway, to get back on topic, I don't condone eco-terrorism. I've had friends who were indirect targets of eco-terrorists because of animal testing at the labs they were working at, and it's not pretty. Instead of property damage and screwing with people, they would be better served to provide alternatives to what they're protesting against.

I prefer Eco-warriors. Since some perhaps all of us are jack ass coward in taking any action that could spill trouble. Actually i'm kinda liked the Sea Sherpherd cause they doing something that can preserve nature. But right now i'm more concern with the tiger species worldwide, there were only 1,278 tiger left and soon will die out.
if there were any organization that were trying to help this species i will help with all my might, i will use all my information network to use to provide the information needed to grow back the tiger population.
