Eh, even if you don't interpret the bible literally, God always partook in asshole moves, like fucking up that guy's life to prove a point to Satan.
"Ha! I ruined his very existence but he still blindly devotes himself to me. In your face, Satan!" Isn't that kind of a Satan-ish move?

Before I start this, I did not mean any harm to Christians, Christianity, Jesus or any other thing that hints religion.Someone told me that Adam and Eve, according to him, they were God's first children on Earth. They had sex so thus began Adam the 2nd and Eve the 2nd etc etc.. And why isn't God condemning this? Didn't the Bible say Incest is VERY VERY VERY bad? Or do they have special rules back in the days?
OMG,are u a true atheist?
Every holy book from every religion(Al-Quran from Moslem,Bible from Christians, and others) have told us that human came from sands and materials of Earth .
God never have children .
It was just like idioms to persuade us .

Yeah i remember reading about it. It was one of the first things that snapped and said doesnt even make sense to me at all. Splitting water was kewl but not real. But however if i take it literally then Everyone on this planet is part of my family. And thus. I'm been banging my sister.
And soo yeah, just one of many things that makes me not believe in it.

By that time, God's law isn't put to order, it's only after Moses that it is ruled by God. BTW, the Eve is sexy.

I lol'd at the "Ha!"...and no, that's not a Satan-ish move. Satan just didn't have the ability to ruin someone's very existence...
And well, I remember as a child I was slapped hard in the face for asking to my parent "if satan is really that bad, then why god didn't just wipe out its existence already? or, why did god even bother to create satan? so that he has someone to fuck up with?"

Dragonus what you are saying is only partially true the incest occured after sin came into the world and i am a christian and im not offended in the least by your very astute question. have you ever heard the term soulmate. many philosophers would argue that since God created adam and Eve he would create husbands and wives for the descendants conitiuing the cycle of perfection and true happiness.

And to answer the satan question god has no destroyed him because God sees that nothing can be accomplished unless it is done by means of inner conviction not a blatant show of power as history has shown us. Also to answer it another way it is because God will not destroy his creation. though that statement should not be read in terms of physical as that happens all the time. im talkin about spiritually(which is oblivion by the way). He won't because once something is created it cannot be destroyed it can merely take different forms. which is also why sin must be seperated from man and cast into hell. as it cannot be destroyed(p.s god did not create sin it was actually or rather technically created by man and satan when we gave into temptation by eating frm the tree of knowledge which imparted to us the existance of chaos and that is why satan said we will become became like Gods bacause we knew True and Antithesis at the same time.but we unlike God had no idea of its horror or how to combat it so we fell to it. to see more on this subject or any of my posts please send a personal message to me or messege however it works!!

It's sad that the modern world somewhat forgot the most basic and important rule of law in general, the bloody LEX RETRO NON AGIT.

It's said Eve wasn't the first woman created (according to some bible historians). Apparently god tried to create the first woman out of earth like he did Adam, but she wasn't subservient to Adam, so he said vanish.
Also, originally, Lucifer/satan/the devil was not considered evil, just angry. He was butt hurt that god prized man over the angels, even though they came first. He just wanted to prove to god that nothing is perfect; anything can go wrong. But he didn't want to have them kicked out of Eden. The deity was angry and childish, so he gave them the boot.

It was worse than that. Aside from screwing Job over, Job _complains_. And when Job complains God goes "STFU noob".
A lot of christians use that story as a proof of Job's faith, but, really, Job was truly pissed off and giving God the middle finger, while God had no real answer except "what do you know? I made the fucking universe."

Apparently she had the same personality as Lucipher and so she was thrown out, and later become the first witch. I've also heard that Lilith was in fact a root of a mandragore, or rather, the root of a mandragore is or was Lilith.
The Book of Genesis says first that God created man and woman, and a few lines later, that He created a woman out of Adam's rib.
Most of churches agree that all that Lilith stuff is irrelevant however.

Hermaphrodites :D (under Samael and Lilith)
I really do like the name Lilith more than Eve.

christianity is no cake walk and believe me God gets the middle finger a lot..its not good to give God the finger but if ur willin to actually do what he says then...then things get better and he does see what u do.

I am not willing to put my daughters up for rape, commit genocides on an undeserving group of people, nor am I willing to allow my son to be sacrificed for anything of such a childish nature. Torture is no way to go about doing things, and stripping people of their rights is not something I condone. Fuck the bible.

Genesis is a creation myth. I realize there are fundamentalist Jews and Christians who believe that that is exactly what happened, but they are outnumbered by those who interpret the story symbolically. Despite the fact that religions, when possessing political influence, often have and still do get involved in debates about things like science, the scientific origin of the Earth, whether the Earth is round, and other things like that don't really have a lot of bearing on the goals and beliefs of religion and theology anyways. The nonfundamentalist approaches to the Genesis creation account basically state that it is a creation myth(and thus the factual details of God creating the world in 6 days and Adam and Eve being the first two literal humans zapped into existence by God are neither true nor particularly important) and that the important teachings it contains are its statement of the relationship between humanity and God, the place of humanity in the natural order, the fact that God is the creator and so on.
You failed to mention the point that the Torah is not meant to be taken literally at any point, which is something that any respectable Jew will attest to. Symbolically, allegorically, whatever, the Torah was meant only to teach. Its only logical that they would teach people how to live moral lives through metaphors and symbolism, because if you try to teach people in a raw philosophical sense, they're not gonna listen.

Google it, I'm sure there has been someone cured of AIDs. I know a guy I work with who says he was healed of his HIV. I know he had HIV because he got kicked out of the military for it. But he says he doesn't have it anymore. There are alot of unexplained things like that that happen. Whether you want to believe it is a miracle from God is on you though.

Also, his post bothers me in that: Does it mean that a person who _doesn't_ get better simply isn't good enough in God's eyes?
I believe in God, but "if you do as He says, you'll get better" strikes me as hogwash. Bad things happen to good people (not that I take that as evidence that God doesn't exist), and quite a number of good people don't "get better".

When i say get better i should state im talking in the personal inner perspective not that you will be blessed.it does happen sure but becoming a better person is far more rewarding. Also God comes to people at their own levels where they need Him to be. If you really look at what the bible says "all man falls short of God's expectations for us" but that does not mean He hates us or condemns thats why he sent his son as a way of taking away shortcoming in his eyes. And by the way if you have geniune faith you will change..though not always how you expect too..by this i mean that you will still have faults(and will until you die)as all do but inside you shall change and that is where it matters..not the way people see you or even how you view yourself it is how God sees you. If you have faith(and continue to do so) and have asked for his forgiveness and help then in his eyes that is really all that truly matters.
