Illegal Aliens - Read before you flame.

Yes I have ventured into a topic few like to discuss but most have very strong / unmovable opinions on. First off, I want to start out by saying that I am not racist in any way shape or form nor is this directed towards just a specific type of illegal alien. I mean everyone who actually gets into the US Illegaly.
Now onto my little rant. I was watching the news and heard about the new Alien Amnesty bill. I hope you guys know what it is because there is so much I would cause the site to crash just trying to explain the 100+ page bill. I'll give a brief overlay though so I hope that that is enough. It states that all Illegals will be given amnesty, which means they become citizens, for the low price of 5000 US Dollars.
I see where some would be all for this and I can totally understand one point of this but I also must make this point. Do you know the social security, Medicare, Medicaid, Disablitiy, etc etc, cost for keeping these people within out country? It is phenominal, seeing as how most of the Illegals are already on it. It would break the system in very little time.
Well I hope you guys bite on the topic, I know that we only have a few very active sommunity members, so I hope some people see this and respond, hopefully we can get some nice little debates going.

I think the whole amnesty program is a load of shit. They're called ILLEGAL aliens for a reason (because the broke the law if you don't understand). There shouldnt be any comfort made for them since they are just criminals like any other felon. The whole illegal issue makes immigrants from other countries get waterlogged and extends waiting time a few years (my parents immigrated...). Peopel need to stop treating illegal immigrants like their life is so hard. Many peopel have worse and still manage to immigrate legally, if they can wait.

Wow... I am so glad I haven't been flamed yet, nice to see people really following issues and thinking before they post.

This is one of those issues that make you step back and evaluate whats important to YOU.I have always belived in the saying "You scratch my back, I'll Scratch Yours" Call me selfish, but at the end of the day I'm going to do whats best for me and the people I care about, Its just how I was raised. Now thers a bill offering people a free ride while I still pay for them? Sorry but I am completly aginst it. If I could benefit off this I would be all for it, but so far I've been scratching and they have yet to return the favor.

I agree with your statement Dante. I would be fine with it if they would have always paid taxes, and did the proper paperwork, but people duping a system just pisses me off.

*is glad to live in Canada and not be as directly involved with American politics as many of you guys*
I'm too lazy/busy to follow the actual news on this sort of thing. I just go with whatever Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert tell me on Comedy Central. I do try and follow sometimes (just so I'm not a typical outsider that just sneers at how fucked up American politics are while being just as ignorant of whats going on around me as they are) but aside from not having a huge amount of time, the sheer volume of stuff that happens makes it difficult. Bush and his administration just seems to have let loose a massive shit storm every time I turn around so I can't bring myself to keep up with it.
And yeah, not racist either but I really don't think that illegal immigrants really deserve a break. Just because you live in shit means you can fuck up a better country. Until some berserk dictator starts slaughtering your people en masse then you don't have a valid reason to want to escape illegally. It may be mean but I'm not a saint.

I believe that, although peole who get into the US illegally do lots of chores that we ourselves would not do for that low amount of money, they should be deported, not asked to pay a fine that we all know they can't afford. Come on now, have we sunk that low that we need to drain cash from the noobs that sneak across our borders? Deport 'em. Hell, I say build a wall. Comb the coasts. Not to sound racist, but I am tired of living in a place where white people have become a minority.

As much as I hate to say it, I am begining to think that it would be a good idea. I mean, I just am sick and tired of hearing all this BS about giving them citizenship and such, I think I will barf the next time I do.

first off gizmo the bill is proposed by the democratic party not the bush administration.
they are looking for firepower to get elected into the office in the coming election. in two ways first of by pandering to thier constituency which are now becoming predominantly americans of latin decent(can we say anchor baby anyone). second, wouldnt it be nice to have a hell of a lot of new voters who rely on social system which uses goverment (tax funds) to live...hence democratic party voters.
now the bush administration has its problems, their politicians so if anyone is surprised then i'm suprised(at you),
but i dont vote for the democratic party because its socialims,an economic theory which looks good on paper but not in practice in how it affects the lawmaking and national production... and before any of you start sputtering off that bush is a nazi i would strongly encourage you to read up on your history, nazi were the national socialist party in germany, if you look at thier law making policies they mimic stalins and the welfare based system of the united states democratic party..
and if you want the truth about iraq...got talk to some armed forces soldiers who serverd in iraq in the last five years instead of listening to the media.

See fodder, while all of that is true to an extent you left out one key part. Bus is the president with Veto rights. He could have thrown it out with the flick of a wrist (I mean that literly.). As for the nazi's policies I will go on record of saying this and it may come back and bite me in the as but that is fine. They were some of the most politically intelligent people and they had great idea's on health care and government, but totally bad morals and execution.
We are not trying to make this a Red vs Blue debate, but simply seeing if many people agree with the immigration bill that is trying to be passed at the moment. Nothing more nothing less.
Also, if you want to bring up Iraq, I have a couple of friends who have been and come back, one that also died there. Yes it is different from what they show on the media, but is it better? From what I have heard from them and read in letters, I doubt it.

my views on the war are kinda split, i think hussein is a madman, killing and experimanting on his countrymen and the kurds is definetly bad territory,(cant spell anongst other things) but from a military point of view, its a blunder in two ways, we united the power of the shite muslims in the area since now iraq and iran are of the same religious perspective and second our soldiers are ordered to behave like police officers, which they are niether trained for nor in a place to be executing, they are soldiers their forte is warfare.
while bush coulod have vetoed the war in iraq, his constituency supported the decision along with the "opposing"(my @$$) side. I also doubt whether the kerry/edwards presidency would have pulled out of iraq. war is way too profitable for the gop, which ever side that may be.

The War is with out a doubt a serious topic, but I would like to know your opinion on the Immigration Bill f0dd3r.

If we were to deport illegal aliens we will have to deport them all which causes chaos because they have children that borned in America so families will be abandoned and some immigrants do the chores we wouldn't do which isn't fair for them if they'll be deported (I support Noutakun). The other thing is that theres a black white and in the middle is grey we have to compromise (if possible). I'm just suprised that the bill got broad support so the majority of senate agrees with the amnesty bill...

hey just wanted to say that i'm a canadian who worked and lived in the US legally for five years and going through to get a green card was very difficult, if I have to do it why let others get away without the difficulty or the cost which is between 5000 and 7000 dollars when all is said and done.
Secondly the excuses for keeping illegals are usually garbage, including the low paying jobs, well sorry to say but there are plenty of americans I know willing to work for any pay so that point is moot. I could rhyme off a couple more but I'll save them for later. I don't care what race creed or color you are I just want all the rules we live by to apply to everyone.
All man and woman for that matter were supposedly created equal let's try to make that a reality, not just pander to those who feel like they are owed something. Sorry for the rant. :D

the proof of a bad administration is that it is an ass-kissing suck-up
i know that the government is for the people but going that far is like asking for the people to favor you
we need strong leaders and not seeing dogs for the blind
sorry, i'm no American so i really am not sure of how things go there
