Liberal or Conservative

Which one is better?
Why?
Which are you?
I don't really fit in either. I lean more towards liberal on some issues, but conservative on others. for example, i'm pro abortion, but against excessive gun control.

I consider myself a constitutional conservative libertarian. If you wanna know what that means, just look up Ron Paul.

Moderate to the most part. I don't care about abortion because it's not my problem nor do i care what a woman does with her body, also includes prostitution and drugs. I don't see the problem with free healthcare or a form of national healthcare that you would pay something has a co payment. I believe every citizen without a violent felony or mental illness should have the right to own a gun... i won't see why a regular person should be able to have a ak-47 or uzi, but if they're respectable people then hey i don't care.
I do believe in the death penalty if it's necessary for the crime... just kill them quickly and stop housing them for 30 years... might as well lock them up forever then. Of course the death penalty should be use only when the crime has creditable witness and real proof he or she was the killer.. no more of the innocent mistakes.
I see both major parties as jokes to the system of representative democracy and the system corrupted to the fail idea of capitalism we use now. The point of capitalism is that if you work hard and your product is good... then you will succeed... not if you can fuck the system, use people money to rape the system with bad investment and doubling down on the insurance claims.. you will be rich over the expense of the other's works. In the less part we control the government.. but in reality no one controls the government.. not even themselves.
Thank you for reading my rant.. don't like it... Cheney yourselves.

It's not really which is better, but what you believe in. Like animefreak, I think I'm moderate as well. Sometimes the liberals have the right idea and sometimes the conservatives have the right idea.

Liberal. Because I am pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, and a atheist as well. Simply put, the conservative agenda agrees with nether my stomach, nor my views. In other words, it makes me sick.

I find myself more of a libertarian, but that can change at any time. I don't necessarily consider myself one.
A big problem I'm finding is that there's so much political propaganda it can be very hard for me to read the lines of what a party's true aim is, and I'm really annoyed by that.

I hate the terms "liberal" and "conservative." Mostly because people define them in whatever way they see it. Liberals are open-minded to one person and blind to the opinions of others to another. Conservatives are ignorant racists to one person and defenders of rightful traditions to another. It just pisses me off how either word can be good or bad, depending on who says it.
But I'd be labeled a liberal, I'm sure. I'm in favor of gay marriage, am pro-choice, want equal rights for all within the LGBT community and those with disabilities, hate Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann (and a number of others), and don't hate President Obama with the fury of a thousand suns. Now, those things aren't exclusive to liberals, but you rarely hear them mentioned when talking about conservatism.
As for which is better, well, I obviously think it's better to help people and provide equal rights to everyone (that's basic Constitution stuff, right?).

I think it's stupid to subscribed to only one ideal or group.
There's thing I agree and disagree with both Classical and Social Liberalism.

I can't really answer the question as the definitions for Liberal and Conservative are all over the place.
By definition anyone who claims to follow one of the various schools of libertarian thought is a Liberal but, the various radio talking heads would label me either one depending on their own views. Sean Hannity would brand me as a progressive Liberal while Stephanie miller would probably label me a Conservative.

I am a moderate, in the purest sense. I care neither for the democrats, nor the republicans, and trust no one with a political background that can't listen to an argument. Think for yourself, and take action after you've weighed the consequences.

On virtually all social topics, I'm very liberal. So I'm pro-abortion (or pro-death, if you prefer; I'm more anti-euphemism than anything else), pro-legalization of many drugs, pro-gay marriage, anti-war, anti-gun.
On economic issues, I'm mixed, maybe even confused. On one hand, I would like to say I'm a socialist, my definition of socialism being the government doing anything to help the poor, including feeding those about to starve. But in the context of America, I feel that their are virtually no genuinely poor people. People who enjoy a solid 1st world standard of living shouldn't have wealth redistributed to them when the deficit and debt are both so horribly in the red. That said, I think it's an undeniable fact that the main contributor to America's overspending is the grossly over-inflated "defense" budget, and trimming this HAS to be the main priority of any serious attempt to curtail expenditure.
