Life or Freedom?
Freedom or Life?

i would have to go with freedom. because how can you live your life without freedom. when i think about it it reminds me of the movie V for vendetta about the government taking away the freedom to speak out loud about the government, not allowing anyone to leave their house at this point in time?? so basically what im trying to say is if we had no freedom what would you do with your life? being told what to do all the time, even if its something you really dont want to do? basically how i look at it is without freedom we're just slaves or actually in a huge ass jail and if we go out of line we're dead.

We are constantly told what we can and cannot do. We constantly have to do things that we "really don't want to do." Best example - a job. How many people wish they didn't have to go to work? Sure, some people genuinely enjoy their jobs, but they are few and far between. Yet we cannot live without some sort of job. Often, we don't even get to choose what type of job we want to do. We have to take whatever is available.
Living in society, people give up all sorts of freedoms. Most of them are worth giving up, but the fact remains that we have to give them up. If I live in a suburb, I can't take a shit in my front yard. If I lived in the woods, I could. Better, less funny examples: listening to really loud music, never putting on pants, yelling obscenities despite the time of day, etc.
One could argue that society itself is like a jail that forces us to conform to other people's standards. But I never see anybody dying so that suburbs will stop being built.

Well I would like to challenge someone to be completely self-sufficient to live without money, thus plunging themselves into something deeper than a job.
And besides, freedoms that can't be enjoyed that you have cited have no real purpose. I'm glad my neighbors can't lay a log on their driveway for everyone to see. I'm fine with not being able to turn on my music to unnecessarily high levels just because I want to. Most things you're referring to are a matter of not being a dick more than giving up a freedom. It comes down to whether the individual in question would do it or not

Rather Anarchist of you Shaggy. Jericho has already stated most of the points but, I wanted to chip in with two cents.
Freedom doesn't mean you have to give up civility. Freedom has a meaning or a purpose behind it. Shitting on your front lawn "because I can" doesn't serve a purpose.
