Muhammad and the 1st Amendment

-Yes, Muhammad is a Prophet, but he's also the last of the prophets that "supposedly" to perfect the religion. He's also the one who receives the revelations and made it into the Koran. The Koran was also supposed to be a perfection of all holy books that came before it, the Torah and the Bible. Muslims believe that those texts were neglected, corrupted (tahrif) or altered in time by the Jews and Christians and have been replaced by God's final and perfect revelation, which is the Qur'an.

-muslims didn't go for the Da vinci code, because it focuses on the Christian's religion, and the muslims didn't see it as a blasphemy, because the modern human man, since the death oh Muhammad as the last prophet are supposed to follow Muhammad's Teaching, therefore doesn't really care what happen to the previous prophet.

-Yes, Jesus is also stated in the Koran as a prophet, who can revive a dead being, and make food and water from nowhere. The Koran also stated that he's a muslim, and is not the son of god. He was also given the Injil (gospel) when he was appointed as a prophet.

-All Prophets are great and I don't see why people must make Jesus more favorable just because he was miraculous, they don't even bother to read out about the miracles of the other 23 appointed prophets that was before Jesus and Muhammad.

Point is, Muslims cares more about Muhammad, because like I said, the modern man we are now (muslims) are all Muhammad's followers, therefor they "care" more about what happens to Muhammad. Followers of the "muslim version" of Jesus is not around anymore, since they have all followed Muhammad's teachings after he was appointed as prophet.

I think this incident is a testament to how hilarious the statement, "Islam is a religion of peace" really is.

The bad part is, the moderate modern muslims is getting grouped together with these radicals, and they can do anything about it, since it will get them killed also...

Speaking from the point of view of an atheist that lives in a Muslim country, born in a Buddha family, and studied in a Christian school - Don't mock each other...that's stupid...and don't play with others belief if you don't want bloodshed...

If I can't bring myself to even respect such a belief, how do you expect me to respect them getting overzealous about things I deem stupid at best? To me it's not that people are hiding behind the Freedom of Speech. The religious lot are the ones who're too easily offended.

well, it's a simple action-reaction situation. If they didn't make something that will "offend" them in some way, this won't happen. and If the Muslims didn't have that "you cannot criticize me" attitude, then people will not get motivated to go pick a fight with them.. >_>

Doesn't that mean you don't really agree with your religion...? Although I would be able to like Islam more if violence was erased from their roots, I just think it odd that anyone would follow a religious text only if it is convenient for them. If you believe your religious deity had a part in writing your religious text, and if you find anything you disagree with within it, I don't think you're a true believer. And please, this is not to offend, I just think it odd that Muslims who proclaim they only follow a part of the Koran can think they're really Muslims.

Although I do not disagree, you're digressing from the point. The point was that out of all the religions that filed complaints, only this incident caused South Park creators to pull Muhammad from their show because of a threat. Why? Because they knew that the creators were in danger of serious injury or death from this "religion of peace". Which is ironic as no other religion featured in South Park indecently went this far, while the religion that proclaimed to be all about peace got something done through violent threats.

I was assuming it was troll, seeing how he tends to make troll posts quite often. Haven't been on as often as I once was, so he may have stopped with the troll posts, but that's how I remember him to be and so I take caution before taking his posts seriously.

Well, most of western civilization does something that offend fundimental Muslims, like not forcing our women to wear Burqa, we allow them to receive an education, to work, etc. So we should stop offending them? So if we shouldn't produce things that offend them in some way, like pornography, or letting south park do it's thing, then we should subjugate our women as to not offend Muslims. Then we should stop abortions, criticism of Jesus or negative depictions of the Virgin Mary so we don't offend Christians. Then we should stop criticism of Obama so Liberals aren't offended by the so called racism. Then we should stop criticism of the Tea party because they're offended by being falsely called racists. See how ridiculous it gets when we cater to one group by not offending them? Then everybody wants in on the act and try to tell everyone what they can say or do.

If we start censoring everything we say then the radicals wins. If we allowed Radical Muslims to tear down our liberty because it offends them then we are slaves to their ideology.
