Sexuality - Either/Or?

If you've visited IB lately, then you've noticed how many threads there are about yaoi being uploaded onto Fakku. If you've read these threads, then you've probably seen a lot of people talking about traps and homosexuality and heterosexuality. IB isn't a place to discuss anything significant, but seeing some of the posts people have made gave me the urge to start this thread.

Basically, is sexuality an either/or thing, or is it more flexible than that? Can you only be either gay, straight or bi, under the common definitions? Or can you mix gay and straight together without being bi?

Before someone points out the stupidity of this thread, let me state that to most people, being bisexual means wanting to be with both sexes, i.e. have sex with men and women. Some will define it as being attracted to both sexes, but I think most people would say that a man that has had sex with women but never done anything with a man isn't really bi.

To get to the point, if you are a guy, does masturbating to yaoi automatically make you gay or bi? Or can you still consider yourself straight if you have no desire to actually have sex with another man?

Another situation - does wanting to be fucked in the ass automatically make you gay or bi, if you do not want to be fucked by another man? Such as, sticking something up your ass by yourself, having someone else use something on your ass, or being fucked by a woman with a strap-on.

Personally, I like assplay, and I like the thought of a woman fucking me in the ass, but I don't consider myself bisexual, chiefly because I have no desire whatsoever to have sex with any man, and I cannot see myself ever being with a man. I'm not attracted to real men; however, I can enjoy yaoi and other "gay" things. My sexual identity isn't simply "straight" but combines elements of homosexuality without becoming homosexual. For me, it's definitely not an "either/or" situation.

If we're talking about fapmaterial I blame it on the art. If the drawings are to my likings - they pass. That doesn't mean every manga containing that particular genre (be it bi/yaoi/furry/younameit) will be fapped to. Nowdays artists can make anything look sexy so I don't see the need for sexuality labeling.

Projecting it on rl is another story. Hetero/homo/bi standart applies to sex. "Gay things" and "homosexuality without becoming homosexual" are opinions.

Well, I have no desire to be with a man or a woman, but I'll fap to anything that arouses me (anal, hardcore, group, futa, trap, etc.). So despite me having no interest in people in general, I do have some elements of homosexuality and heterosexuality. No matter what sexual orientation you label yourself as, you will always have some traces of the other. You can't be 100% straight or gay. As for being bi, all that means is that they are 25-75% straight and/or 25-75% gay (anything above or below those percentages mean you are predominately straight or gay).

Since I've never been in a relationship, that makes me 10% gay, 20% straight and 70% indifferent. I can't really call myself gay or straight because I have no experience or interest with either sex.

The answer to your first question: This is the internet, your sexual orientation can be anything. We can be however kinky we want to be. Guys lusting after feminine boys who dress up like girls, a girl with a dick, rape, cheating on a lover. We all got our perks and turn-offs.

As for the sexual identity, if you're sexually confused, you're automatically bi. We in the internet consider ourselves straight despite liking traps. How? "They're futa." Like opanihuya said, they're fapmaterial, nothing to really taken account for real life sexual orientation or identity. Hmm, let me try putting it another way. I'm more into Voyeurism than I am to physical contact. You could say that physical contact makes me uncomfortable. I don't like getting touched that much. I myself don't consider myself gay or bisexual or even bi-curious. I don't like yaoi, traps or even futa. There are two parts to one's sexuality, the sexual behavior and the sexual attraction. The sexual behavior involves acts that would be considered either gay, straight or a little of both. Sexual attraction is what you gear your sexual tension towards.
