Should we have a bloody revolt against our governrment?

I believe it was Thomas Jefferson that said "Every hundred years the people should have a bloody revolt against the government."

This would show that the government does not have all the power, that it depends on the people.

Ever since Mr. Jefferson said this not once did we ever have a bloody revolution like America did back when it was under the King's rules.

Now there was an incident where the Black Panthers did march into Washington D.C. with guns in hands, but was soon stopped by officers.
Was this event the beginning of a bloody revolution? Or crazed people with guns?

So now you decide: What are your thoughts on a bloody revolution? Should we have one? Why or why not? And would you be one of the many who would go against their own government?

I want serious people to give me their most descriptive ideals.

Why do we need a revolution?

Thomas Jefferson said "A little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical...It is a medicine necessary for the sound health of government. and "As revolutionary instruments (when nothing but revolution will cure the evils of the State) [secret societies] are necessary and indispensable, and the right to use them is inalienable by the people."

People paraphrase him to say 'that a a revolution every ten years is good for the nation, keeps the government fresh and pure.' He never said it that plainly.

A true revolution is bought up by the people or the majority of citizen and redress publicly before a armed overthrown of the government. Secession is more popular then a overthrown or coup before a legal and civilize redress of grievance.

Ummmmmm, I think that's a fucking stupid idea. Why the hell would we need to overthrow the government, it's just fine, while place like Libya and Somalia people are literally dying under their government (or lack there of). And we bitch about how we don't like our leaders, give it a few years and they'll be out of there, while in other countries leader can be there for decades and if you don't like it and say so YOU DIE. America is a great country where we don't have to worry about that so stop complaining.

To tell you the truth we do not need a revolution. I do not see the government trying to enforce anything onto us nor do I see the government itself trying to attack a certain group of individuals.

In reality I always had this question in mind should we have a bloody revolt? What has the government done to deserve it? Should people truly attack the government and then what, who is in charge?

So to answer your question clearly no there is no need for a revolt. And the reason for me to ask this question was just out pure curiosity. Hopefully this answers you question and if you have any further questions just ask and I will try to answer.

On a serious note, I think that if a revolution were to start, it would start strong, with states like Texas, Wyoming, and Alaska leading the charge, only to fizzle out quickly once they actually realize that the government they're up against actually knows what they're doing. Much to those states dismay, I might add.

Democracy is a shit system that allows cooperate capitalism and corruption to flourish and ADVOCATES greed. Also because most people are stupid, unaware of real issues and are ignorant to things otherwise ala people in this thread.

A Technocratic revolt is needed if we want to solve world hunger, poverty and climate change etc. But of course that isn't going to happen because of the reasons above.

Or better yet, if everyone suddenly just accepted a socialistic view of things and embraced communism.

With that being said, no, we should not have any revolution against out governments, what we should do is poke at them, keep them on their toes, and make sure they follow the public opinion.

There is no need for a revolution just making sure the government does their job is fine and if you hate the people in government speak up
