I say use whatever works. If adult stem cells show to be as useful as embryonic, then scientists should save themselves the bullshit from moralfags. I don't mind them using embryonic stem cells.

Just eat a baby. The younger the better I think.

It's a serious question that requires a Moral and Scientifical discussion to answer the question. No more of a opinion on stem cell either they be adult or fetal.

Fine I'll raise a question:

Whats so wrong about stem cell research? Just by sacrificing something that isn't even a human yet, to save millions of lives. Whats so damn wrong about that?

Judging by the effort invested into the creation of the thread, Random or IB.

The primary argument against embryonic stem cell research is that it isn't ethical. Critics think that sacrificing someone else's (potential) life for the sake of research that doesn't guarantee success is morally wrong. They also argue that better alternatives exist, and that successful research can be done without involving another person's life.

I personally don't think it unethical for scientists to use embryonic stem cells in their research. If the donors are willing, and if the researchers are utilizing such cells efficiently and wisely, I'm okay with it.

Ideally, I'd like to see government policy that:
- makes stem cell research a last resort effort (all other possibilities such as adult/umbilical cord cells have been exhausted)
- holds researchers accountable for their work
- rewards federal funding to research groups that make an effort to minimize their usage of embryonic stem cells in studies
- regulates market prices for donors to make sure it doesn't become lucrative practice (for those donating specifically for research)

I don't think embryonic stem cells should be wholly banned from research, but I do think it needs to be approached with great care.

I personally don't want to see what happens when we start curing shit with stem cells and suddenly the virus and stuff mutate past that.
