Surviving Nuclear Aftermath

Now i know this is absurd and what not. But i would like to know what would you do after surviving a Nuclear Holocaust? Say all you had was a rifle with 15 rounds, food for 3 days, water, and had to travel the barren wasteland to reach the nearest living establishment to resupply and get medical attention. What if you had to face mutation, radiation and the perils of a new world? How would you survive?Edit : You're given 110 rounds, and the establishement is 80mi. away. You can walk but fast means of transportation, ( vehicles ) are rendered useless.
2Edit : If you're with a friend, you have 200 rounds, and food supply is 4 days worth, but must be shared evenly.
LOL kinda remind me of Left 4 Dead, i will choose with a companion, and about mutation there should be a safe suit, can't survive without one..... and if you run out of food there is always cannibalism. i guess....
What happen in Left 4 Dead 2? there is zombie with anti-mutation suit on! Seriously we/i will be fucked up cuz life ain't no dramatic like movie does...we will travel and got killed:one way or another!

No Left For Dead here. Just honest thoughts based on what you know. Had to bump it a bit. Seeing as how ill be writing something based off the responses here.

Firstly, a nuclear apocalypse is extremely traumatizing. And surviving the aftermath, now I have to deal with mutants? In the event this happens, I WILL try to survive but I'd be demoralized pretty fast and seeing the ruins of what was once called home would give me despair.
Then, if things go wrong, like food running out or my ally gets killed, I'd suffer shell shock and possibly lose the will to fight, especially if I think there's no one that I know that's still left alive.
Alternatively, if I try to survive, I'm quite alright about the food, as I don't eat much, so the food may last a couple of more days. Killing the ally is not an effective way to save anything, as you'll need someone to cover you while you sleep.
Rule of thumb, move during the day, sleep during the night. When we estimate that we'll run out of supplies soon, we keep moving no matter what as one last banzai charge towards the establishment.

If I managed to survive a nuclear war, the first thing I would do is get as far away from where the explosions took place, preferably upwind and away from the radioactive fall out. Supplies would most likely be very low, so I would try to scavenge for whatever I can and try to hunt dogs for meat if it comes to it. Weapons are always nice, though I doubts I would just happen to find a shot gun and several rounds of ammo just lying on the floor, so I would try to get some kind of metal bar (crowbars ftw) and try to hold out as long as I can. I would try to find refuge wherever I can and if it came to it, I would kill and resort to cannibalism. Unless I joined some sort of caravan , though, I doubt I would survive more than a few months. I would probably eventually die from radiation sickness or killed by some rival scavengers working in groups.

If I had 110 bullets, I would shoot 110 people in the head and eat their flesh. From their bones i would make arrow tips, and from their sinews i would make bow strings. And with bows and arrows, I would be ready for the next world war.

if it were me? I would start a small camp near a good location, e.g. nearby a running water source like a river.
and try to survive, hunting, foraging, scavenging. whatever. and if I die, oh well, that's my fault for not making the right choices

I would most likely eventually adapt to survival. Likelier though is that I would die. My incapability to socialize would be the end of me.
EDIT: Holy crap, there are a couple of blank posts above.

I would face it with my friends. Because I called them "friends" not because of no reason. Chemistry is the thing we need to face the current event, which in this case is Nuclear Aftermath.
Though what I said sounded like Left4Dead's plot.
Teamwork is the key.

Well what should i do? Maybe I'll walk the whole damn 80 miles to the nearest shelter thing. Then again, i really think that if a nuclear blast would happen, its in the middle of a city, not inside a forest where you're all alone.
Hope it would'nt happen though.hate being attacked by mutated animals or zombies.Lol
