Teen Pregnancy.

All i want to say is What the fuck is the matter with you people!? So the story goes i was walking around my block and there was this girl i used to know but now i bet she forgot who i am but anyways i was shocked to see that she is pregnant. She had a huge ball of a stomach and i was just WOW. Not the first teen mom i'v seen before. I have this old friend who's sister is already a mom and she's like 19 years old. Its just so unbelievable sure this is nothing new but still.Who can be blamed for this? The parents, the girl herself, the media? I blame the media for shit like
Teen Mom and 16 and pregnant. And also the girl herself for not thinking straight for what ever reason.I don't know what to say. Some teen moms are lucky enough to have their boyfriends by their side while other's don't yet manage to succeed for themselves and baby.I don't like those that just go on wel-fare to we can take care of their "Little Mistake".Kids nowadays,
We have children having baby's.

Its not as bad as:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_youngest_birth_mothers
Media shouldnt be blamed for it. I would say that it is infact teaching ppl about the negative aspects of Teen Pregnancy.

Since this is serious, I'll answer seriously.
In my opinion, it is the media corrupting the minds of young teenage girls these days. They think it is "ok" to get pregnant, because the girls on such mentioned shows like Sixteen and Pregnant get along rather easily. They don't really realize that those teen-moms on that show get paid for being on, or, they think it is a easy way to get money / a t.v. show. Clearly they don't understand what it really means to take on the responsibility of being a parent.
The ignorance some teens have these days sometimes sickens me.

That would be weird to ask.

According to biological studies, males are extremely horny or lusting for sex in their teens. Using that as a light ground, I'd say that's reason to most teen pregnancies. Other than that, I think most teen couples find it "normal" to have sex after a year or so. Since sex is addicting(some may beg to differ), they're eventually wanna get it on, until they're outta rubber. If desperate enough, they go raw. Even though, we understand the consequences of going raw, we(some) like to take chances or gamble of creampieing the girl because it's a great feeling for men.
My opinion may be incorrect, why? Cuz I'm still a ******, so cut me some slack into taking part of this issue.
My situation is quite similar to yours, except she was a few years younger. And yet, she still goes to school, pregnant.

The teenager. It's spouted since you're in 4th grade when you learn about what a period is and you learn what your balls dropping means. You have years of education of health in school and it's ever growing common sense to get some sort of protection for not only preventing pregnancy but sexually transmitted diseases. I find it's too easy to shift the blame on someone else other than the responsible individual.

How can those girls go to school with a big belly like that? Aren't they embarrassed of themselves? I understand there's not much of a way out of getting to go to school. Especially if their parents won't let them have another option, but honestly. I've seen some of them wear really tight, little shirts and seem to act like there is nothing wrong with it.

Thing is, she took pride in it, since her boyfriend was one of the popular cholo's around school. I could see the under belly of her baby.

At first I thought you were being sarcastic with me with the 9 year old's depicted in the Wikipedia link and I was about to face palm, but I read on and was relieved.
I could really go into a long explanation on how I feel that lower income families tend to have these problems more so than children raised by parents who aren't supported by government aided programs.
Now, before I get a lash of hate from people, I've been raised by a single mother and have been on welfare with her before myself. So this obviously doesn't apply to -everyone- but I do feel that lower income families find it more socially acceptable.
I won't go into it though, because I vented all my irritation and anger into my other SD thread and can't be assed to look up evidence and statistics proving of what I'm saying.

I have no issue with those mothers receieving welfare benefits. The entire point of them is for the children, not the parents. It's abused practically, but that is a different issue.
As for teen pregnancy itself. It depends if it's a planned or accidental nature. The planned pregnancies for social status and economic wealth are horrendously agonizing situations for taxpayers, family, and friends.
Unintentional... well. Not every one of those is out of stupidity or improper protection. I don't really feel comfortable making a blanket statement on that topic.

When I was in middle school a 14 year old girl got knocked up, she was in 7th grade. They didn't get a abortion, nor did they put the child up for adoption. I don't know if it was the right to do, she missed a lot of school because of the kid and well. . . life's not gonna be easy for her. But sometimes people do dumb shit. When stuff like this happens they should have to live with the result of their actions. There are no second chances in life and sometimes you're dealt a shitty hand. But hey, that's how it goes. I wrote this post 3 days after I made a account on Fakku. Oh, the memory's~
Note: Edited my God awful grammar. I don't know how I lived with myself a year ago.

The only people who are to blame are the once who got the kid, it's too easy to blame it on the media or parents. Those teenagers knew what could happen if they had unprotected sex. People are just stupid. It's much better to get an abortion than having to take care of a baby at 16 when you can't even take care of yourself.

Wow,What kind of world do we live in.
One where so many are in old barbaric ways still... And keeping out the fact of specific parental skills of each individual family.

It is no one's fault but the girl and guy who had sex. We live in an age where it is very easy to both get information about sex and birth control (be that the pill or condoms). There is no excuse for being uninformed or unprepared. I find teen pregnancy to be about the stupidest mistake to make.

Excuse me, but a person's action can't be reduced to his sole responsibility. Yes, it's the person who takes the actions and he *is* responsible for them... however not solely him.
The environment one acts in, and the decisions that created that environment also take a great part.
...and on this note, I can't agree. Sex education in America is often dismal, and attitudes toward birth control even more so. With the rise of religious fundamentalism and its penetration of everyday politics by the way of the neo conservatives are to blame for a lot of this.
Teaching abstinence (from sex) and downplaying the importance of birth control, preventing teens from easily obtaining birth control methods... these were all on their platter and have contributed to the problem.

i must agree with that, the way you raise and talk to your kids will lead the mayor choices they make
