What do you think it's like... When we die?

what does everybody think of Nirvana? (not the band)i have always been curious..
I think nirvana is nothingness. After all, if something is perfect, then it has no reason to exist.
A person who has reached nirvana and dies either completely ceases to exist or is reincarnated so that he may teach others how to reach nirvana.
But if every person on Earth reached nirvana, when they died, no one would reincarnate because the reason for being born again (helping others to reach nirvana) would not exist. Therefore, the people would no longer exist.
If every soul in Nirvana is perfect, then what's the point? Because there is no reason to exist, since pleasure cannot be derived from any action, the souls will cease to exist. Their job is done. When your job is done, you leave.

I think nirvana is full of flowers, trees, and other things that already extinct from mother earth, no biological weapon and nuke issues, it's all peace
What about things like knives, that have a practical purpose, but can also be used to kill?
Uh-oh :? almost forget dat...lets just hope the peeps in nirvana didn't repeat the earth's stupidity

Presumably, if you achieved Nirvana, you would be at peace, so even if you had 8 million nuclear bombs at your disposal, there would be no need or temptation to use them.

I always worried if there will just be darkness after you die, but I'm also thinking you'll likely to be reborn anew.

Everybody wants to be the same person they are now after they die, but every version of the afterlife I've heard of has you being a different person.
If you get reincarnated, you don't retain anything memories of who you are now. If there's nothing, then, well, there's nothing. And even if you go to Heaven, Heaven is a place free of sin. I don't know about you, but I tend to love sinful things. Playing video games for six hours straight? That's awesome! But sinful.
(After)life sucks.

Like do you believe you go to Heaven or Hell? Or do you think We'll just rot in the ground?Well the truth is that you are your brain and as long as your brain is alive and it isnt dammaged and it gets what it needs you will be alive and yourself able to think and so on. But if you die or your brain becomes dammage you cant think or anything or proncess information which is what happens when people die. So sadly enough once you die your brain shuts down and you are basicly no longer able to think or anything./

I think when you die everything just goes blank and you just don't exist anymore. I mean your brain cells are not functioning to hold your memories. I mean it's the same as people with Alzheimer or people who slowly become retarded. As more of their brain cells cease to function the more their capabilities lower. So if all you cells are dead then you technically lose all functions to do anything. So that's when you've technically have become a tomato I guess.
I personally wish there was an afterlife but at the same time I think to myself and say would I be bored to the point I want to stop existing.

I'm not sure what I am. I might be atheist, but I don't know. What I do know is that I have a theory. I think it's possible that what happens after we die is something completely different than what anybody thinks. I mean, who's to say that us humans have even come close to describing what it's like to die? How is it that us "lowly" humans have all the answers, like we even know anything? It could be unknown, until you experience it for yourself. And with things like near-death experiences, and other things people imagine, they can be disproved pretty easiy. Our mind is very complex, and may create things like that, which may seem very real.
Okay, it's starting to get complex. But enough about the theory. Man made religion. It's obvious, and should be common knowledge. As I said, our brains are complex. For all intents and purposes, our brain is us. Once we're in the ground and our brain rots away, that's it.

if we don't retain our memories then it's the same as if there's no afterlife at all. but personally i think it'll be the void.

If there is another life after this one, then what is the point of this life? We can do whatever we want, rationalizing that we'll just get another chance once we die and come back.

well im not sure at all (and im sure that nobody here knows the real answer also) but all i hope is that its painless and that somehow i get a second shot at life before finally resting for all eternity while maggots eat my eyeballs out

but the truth is we don't know wat will happen after death...
I think it's better for us to not know, so we can appreciate our lives

Easy: We're all invited to a huge banana party, with Les Claypool's future dead self playing all the time. By all the time, I mean before the Universe even existed, and even after it's gone down the pooper and come back eight-billion^billion^billion^billion times.
When he's finished up, we trade our banana juice with that special someone-- if you really haven't found him or her after all that time, you're probably better off just drinking your own-- and what we know of as time reverses itself and we live backwards. Sort of like that F. Scott Fitzgerald short story-that's-been-made-into-a-sorta-lame movie, but more backwards reversed kind of way.
After that's been through a few times, Jesus hands out high fives to everyone and the cycle begins anew. Only this time, everyone wears a koala bear outfit.
