We have all done or thought something we are not proud of and for most of us such thoughts or actions have come more then once. So I ask you which personal sin would you say embodies you most? Be honest, none of us are perfect and not all of us see all actions the same way. What you consider a sin may be different then what I see as a sin. So, if you want to show example of and action or thought you have had which made you choose one of the five sins above to embodies you feel free to do so I consider us all family so I'm sure no one will judge you. If you choose others please explain what you truly think embodies you.(I put this opinion in case some one doesn't think there personality is being represented. Please remember, a sin must be something YOU consider wrong or bad so no "I embody lust because I'm a sex machine". I put this in the serious discussion category because I want serious answer so please respect that ^_^ )
So for my answer it would be a close contest between sloth and rage but I would have to say rage embodies me more then sloth. I find myself being irrationally anger a lot of the time at people and have in the past found myself yelling or getting angry without due cause. So for me rage is my embodiment. I hope to see some other serious responses soon.
(I want to make this clear that this is NOT A RELIGIOUS DISCUSSION I am asking for your personal sins what you know or think to be wrong not what others tell you is wrong.)(if you believe this topic to be insulting or inappropriate feel free to give CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM or ask to have this topic removed. Please don't just insult or negative rep me because you don't like it. Those are troll like behaviors and benefit no one.)

Seven sins: Gluttony, Lust, Greed, Pride, Envy, Anger, and Sloth. Just putting that out there.
I had never put too much thought into what sin "consumes" me, but the other day someone close to me pointed out that my sin was undoubtedly envy. I realized he was right. Envy has always been something I've fought with. I am always yearning for things that other people have. I'll look at something and not want it, but when someone else has it I immediately think it looks better on/with them and then I want it to show that I can be just as great. It used to be really bad when I was younger, but I seem better at handling my envy. I am so jealous of other people it's ridiculous, though. I hide it well and put it in the back of my mind, but it's there.

I don't believe in this sin shit, but for the fuck of it, I'll play along. If I had to choose one, it would be the one that affects me every single day of my life: Sloth.
Constant procrastination, unwillingness to do shit, etc.
I will do shit when it is mandatory, but until then, I lay around.

If I had to choose one sin that applies more to me than the others, it would have to be Sloth. It's not that I'm lazy in the sense that I don't exercise(Well, that too. But I do on occasion) but more of the inactive state of mind. I just don't care about stuff anymore. Instead I sit around doing nothing until everything just piles up and someone starts whipping me in an attempt to make me do things.
For example I really should get better at this, but I can't muster up enough care to do anything about it.

I do know the seven sin. Thanks for pointing them out but I consider Greed and Gluttony to be very similar so I didn't post them both. I also combined envy and greed. You can consider Anger and Pride to be semi connected but if you feel like any of my chooses where unjust feel free to mark yourself down for others. Oh and I want to thank you for taking the time to respond.

I thank you for responding even if you don't completely agree with the concept of sins or sinning. Your time is very much appreciated.

I understood why you combined the ones you did, but the reason they're the seven deadly sins is because they all are distinct in their sin. For example: Greed is wanting everything, Envy is wanting things others have. I'm not trying to put you down or anything, just explaining. :]
Yup! No problem. I liked this thread since it related to what I had found out about my "deadly sin" the other day.
Do try not to double post, though.

I agree with LostQuartet, I think that's just something females in general can struggle with. I won't go in length about what makes me envious of people, but it's a problem of mine.

Thank you for your explanation. I understand the difference but i consider the want itself for something you don't need or is not yours to be a sin myself. To explain my personal sins, unlike what the poll shows, would be "To desire what you do not require or is not required of you" "too intentionally weaken or belittle ones self" and " to hurt anyone in any of these four ways Physically, Financially(including Money(to take) Possessions(to steal) or Time(to waste intentionally)) emotionally or mentally" thus why i consider the WANT as the sin and not the where or in what way. I hope that made my choices a little more clear. Again, thank you for your time.

Every human being wants. I don't think it's right to consider it a sin.

well in a perfect world I would desire people to want what they need and not needlessly which can breed greed gluttony and envy.

Perfect worlds are unattainable. People will always want. I want more things than I need, you want more things than you need. It's human nature. The point is to not overdue it. Too much of anything is a bad thing.

Your right. I would just like to encourage people to limit there wants as i don't think of it as a mortal sin but only a personal sin for when i want something i always want to extremes so to stop myself from commuting more mortal sins i try my best to limit it at its source. Thus, the concept of personal and moral sins. Those acts which everyone knows to or at least some where in them knows to be sinful or wrong. All moral sins fit in those four categories of harming another. I personally believe should you commit a moral sin you can always counteract it with a "good" act and only those with serious mental disorders are unable to understand or realize when they have committed a moral sin. Some people just don't care and some people just cant realize when they have done something "wrong". I personally believe even with good attentions a moral sin is a moral sin only redeemable by a opposite act of the same degree. I'm ranting so ill stop now.

Sloth and then Greed followed possibly by Gluttony. Greed second because if I were handed millions of dollars I would probably stop being greedy. I'm rather generous with my money when I actually have enough to be generous with but most of the time I don't have much. Not much would ever prevent me from trying just to sit back, relax, and enjoy life so I'm gonna be slothful pretty much all the time. As for Gluttony...well I just really like food. I don't overeat or anything but I suppose it's possible I might if I was amazingly wealthy.
Edit: Btw it's spelled Malice not Malisc.

Sloth first and foremost, definitely. I'll do hard work (I'm scanlating about 100 pages a week, after all, by myself), but I'll only do it if I want to do it. I hate doing things that I don't want to, and though I know everybody does, I hate it so much that I think it transcends others. Also, any physical labor is a no-no for me. I'm more of a mind guy, not a body guy.
To add some more to this post: The sin that least embodies me is gluttony. I actually don't like to eat, and if I had three wishes from a genie, one of them would be to not have to eat. I would save so much money. Also, I try to get by with as little as possible. (Gluttony can be more than just food; it can be having more than you need in any way.) Very simple example, I don't buy a new video game after I've done the bare minimum with the newest one I have. No, I work that fucker and get as much playtime out of it as possible, until playing it just bores the fuck out of me. I'll see games that I want, but I won't buy them if I have something else to do. I only point this out because it seems that a number of people do the exact opposite of me and buy every game that comes out.
