[Locked] What truly is the point of hentai censoring?

I actually find the hair pretty hot in Jingrock's doujins.

I have a question (it might be a dumb one, but better ask than remain in ignorance): who exactly are the people that sensor the doujins? The scanlators? The translator editors?

The authors themselves are required to censor them according to Japanese law.

Yeah , I think censoring hentai is pretty stupid it's like combination of 2 contradictory words or oximoron = Censored Hentai.

The original artwork (pictures, OAVs, doujinshi...) are not censored. They have to censor them before they go into public distribution. That's why there are uncensored versions when material becomes licensed in the United States. The U.S. doesn't go and de-censor the material.

My opinion is that it is some sort of law which says any form of pornographic image or video should be censored to minimize public outrage. so artists and directors discovered a sort of loophole which complies the law and also show off their work without any sort of legal reprocussion.

Yep, they do capitalize on the internal cumshot thing but recently their hentai storylines seem more detailed and balanced, like Honey Blonde and Mai's Second Little Lover. And for some Tsukino Jyogi fans the most detailed shots are usually seen on the womens' faces.

But the censored parts are minimal anyway, so we still get to enjoy the occasional inside cum sprays :D
