did you vote?

YaY! I voted but why'd I do it? Well since I live in the great state of California my vote for president won't matter. So why did I vote? Well here in California there's prop 8 which eliminates the right for same sex couple to get married. So I went to help make sure that didn't pass.
So why did you vote? why didn't you vote? what did vote on?
btw: Free coffee from Starbucks if you vote!

Well, I voted in last month's Canadian election for the Grits.
Does that count?
I want some coffee.

I believe the above poll should be made only applicable to Americans. I didn't vote simply because I am not part of USA. :D
Everyone has their own views on voting; some opt not to do so because they favour none of the candidates. Others may be genuinely supporting a particular candidate. At the end of the world, I would like to think that every vote is important, which could possibly shape the future of our world.

I didn't vote because fuck standing in line in the rain to do something I don't really care about anyway. Although my stepdad really seemed to want me to vote, which is weird, because he knows I would vote for Obama for no reason other than that he and my mum were voting for McCain, and I natural disagree with any authoritive figures around me.

Yeah, I voted. I voted Yuki Nagato because she deserved to win Saimoe this time. Plus I'm not a huge Maho Shoujo fan anyway.
lol, but for the presidential election, I did early voting. Way better than waiting in line on the final day.

Nah. Didn't bother.
Instead, chose to enjoy a day off until I remembered that I had a load of cleaning to do.
So, I cleaned.

There wasn't anything else to vote for besides the president and some other miscellaneous positions of power, but I did vote. I didn't stand in line very long, voting itself was easy as hell, and in no circumstance can anyone say something bad to me (and be right) if McCain wins and the country goes (further) to hell.

I'm not 18 yet...errr.
I did, first time too!
I didn't last time because I forgot to register, I was so excited, I didn't do it early, I wanted to wait in line at the polls like the rest of the nation.

Wait, at first it looks like you're voting for Prop 8, then it sounded like you were against it... I'm confused.

I voted in the great state of North Carolina. Why did I vote? Because I did. Does my vote matter? No, because it all comes down to the electoral voters, who most people don't seem to understand, don't gotta go the same way as the majority vote in the state.
And I voted for McCain.
And I voted for McCain.

The electoral college doesn't have to vote the same as the people, but it's not like the electoral college votes different in every election. The system is only set up that way so that some bumfuck who knows nothing about politics but is incredibly popular won't get elected President, in case such a thing ever happens.
