Why do guys say these things?

You can tell most of these responses are those of virgins or of those trying to be funny and failing miserably. Also I think a lot guys say shit like that out of being self-conscious and not knowing how to talk to women or even act around them. And some guy's are just douche-bags who like to act like dicks.
And Tegumi that just means she didn't factor in the lesbians for her other 67%.

To be honest that teacher shouldn't generalize on guys like that because not all fall in the same category and although some do fall in it there are guys who are still decent/good enough to be deemed as respectable people.
That female teacher should take into consideration the feelings and the aspects of all types of guys before saying that.

Most likely the teacher is a feminist and so basically anything the males could've said would've been sexist and just trying to keep women down and take away their equal rights.

I'm curious - you said the questionnaire was free answer, but did people have to identify themselves or were they anonymous?
If they were anonymous, that's half your answer right there - a bunch of immature idiots saying exactly what they thought would rile up the woman teacher and the women in the class. On the other hand, if those where results from people who identified themselves while giving those answers ...

"How it's okay to rape the girl you want."
"Sex, boobs, tits, and vagina."
There just being asses.. clarification on your question from a man.
What do you do when you are attracted to the opposite sex?
Talk to them, ask for their number, hit, see ya.
What do you talk about when you're with the same sex?
Women, cars, the game, the chickenhead i boned last night/week/month
How it's okay to rape the girl you want.
No..
Ask ten different guy/ ten different answers... most of the time.

Coming from a guy myself, I felt offended that I was grouped into the "bad" guys who said these sexual offences. I just sat only thinking, "Well there's always guys like that. And there nothing we can do about it."
However, my teacher who is a female, presented a question "Why do guys say such things even though there are girls present?" And I'd like a few opinions from you guys and girls.
I think your teacher was upset by your statement that you believe that "there is nothing you [and all men?] can do about [sexual assault]", because in fact when men DO take action against it or to spread awareness/distaste for sexual-assault-culture, it makes a world of difference.
Not taking responsibility for the ideals of patriarchy can be just as bad as enforcing them.

Are you sure those guys are completely serious? Think about it... these guys aren't all that mature anyways, so could it be possible for them to answer it jokingly?

My opinion*:
if you were to audit that same class every year, the percentage the prof. quotes will always be the same. and the only reason for the test is her searching for more/new ofencive things to mention.
*[size=10]this is based on the limited information given by OP, and some influence of other members comments.[/h]

This can go both ways as well. Women can say stuff about guys that would be considered derogatory, just as guys can say it about women. I think your Professor needs to understand that before making blanket biased statements.

Wasnt the questionaire confidential? Also is your professor hawt?
"Men" tend to try to look like totally hip rebels and do things for the lulz! Maybe they thought that if they act crude they'll look 'edgy' and 'cool' in front of the laydeez and might "Get some" or something. (IDK)
Besides its kinda an in thing now to make men look bad so what the heck! Doesnt really make a bit of difference even though those jokers tried to rip the piss. (You should feel insulted and shamed because theres no respect anymore thats the way the Worlds going... Full of generalizing PC BS)

It sounds like a really bad feminist/women's studies class...
I would ask for her purpose in revealing those statistics and those answers. Also why she addressed the male population as a whole when asking about something so negative that only applied to 33% of the male population. It's very insensitive on her part and you mentioned, it anchors negativity onto the all the males from the female's perspective in that class.

The OP is ambiguous but I assume that due to the small sample size of one class, that 33% is a statistically insignificant number and should not be generalized to the male population, logically making the teacher a sexist.
BTW I find the title offensive because it, again, generalizes the entire male population based on around 10-20 people.

thats right not every male thinks like those douches from your class, and obviously the reason why those guys are like that are deeper, like the way they where raised and stuff like that.

I'm more interested in everybody taking her statistics and examples at face value. It's pretty lame as a teaching aid and what does it really demonstrate... at best the immaturity of a college male.

Sorry. These are some to the questions:What do you do when you are attracted to the opposite sex?
Some responses: "Grab their ass, tits, and call them my bitch."
"Sex, boobs and vagina."
What do you talk about when you're with the same sex?
Some responses:"How it's okay to rape the girl you want."
"Sex, boobs, tits, and vagina."
These were some of the professor's responses that she read out loud to the class.
I can't take these answers seriously. I mean, i'd say that shit on a test as an outright, "this test is bullshit" answer. Hell, maybe they thought they were being clever. I think its funny. and if these answers were realistic, well hell, we'd notice a lot more random ass grabbing. In conclusion, they said it because it is amusing. Immature? yep. Potential sex offenders? maybe cuz they're dudes (jk)

Personally I think her statistics are pretty damn shonky, looks like she has a future working for Fox News.

Obviously, this "questionaire" was entirely unrelaible. The actual test group consisted of a single classroom and the result is basically useless data. The males likely answered in a joiking fashion to get a response from the females present. Typical of prepubescent males, and only goes to show that the statement of highschool never ending holds true.

What a fucking idiot, im assuming that this was for some kind of research, in which case answering dishonestly to save face would ruin the authenticity of the experiment. This is my response to the teacher's reaction. However i'm fairly sure that most of those guys weren't serious, plus girls who take something like that so seriously aren't worth worrying over.
