Case in point: The Jay Leno show did a short segment where Leno goes out onto the street during the show and asked people general questions about the world. Many of them did not answer the questions right. My personal favorite: A man said he thought that the Pope lived in Paris, England.
So, maybe we're not crazy. Maybe we're just stupid.

Kind of Important
A ray of Tsunlight.
This broken ass system of government we have.
Don't get me wrong, I fuckin' love my country, more than the average person at least. But politics by nature are deceiving and it seems like shit never gets done, and retarded people get voted into office. If we got some leaders who aren't stupid, then maybe we wouldn't look so strange.
Honestly, I think solid leadership would solve a lot of the problems.
Aside from crazy people. We're just stuck with them I guess.

I only think America is crazy when I see some Glen Beck guy crying like a 5 year old about how he loves his country, I think it's the patriotic part that makes me think America is crazy, then again I dislike Patriots.

Keep in mind that I've formed my picture of America by watching The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. However it appears to me that reason that America seems crazy is because the small group of Americans who actually are crazy have hijacked the national conversation.
Because of this majority of Americans who are sane cannot join the conversation and so each person gets the false impression that they and maybe a few people that they know are the only sane ones left in the country.

Although I am not sure if this thread should belong to the Serious Discussion section, I am going to give it a chance to see how things develop. In my opinion, everyone has complaints about their own country and/or government. Some people may complain about war and unrest within their own nation, others may be concerned about the overwhelming number of immigrants entering their homeland. Our own efforts can make a difference at times, but some circumstances may also be beyond our control.
Agreed. Your so wise gambler pooh~ I also agree with the media whoring and simple boredom~:/ Newscasters need a job too, though Im not saying it with much conviction~-.-
