See thats what I mean.
We could probably come up with some really cool and useful things if we can just let go of our emotional attachments to an empty shell.

We could also probably burn the body and use it for farming nutrients too.
Edit: Eh most normal people in normal life think I'm sick or evil for thinking about progress and not emotions. But yeah i see what you mean.

that option is violating "Dead-human-right". Do you want your bones grilled to be the nutrients and a calcium concentrate for Cows?

Using human bodies as a farming nutrient is a great idea, and has actually been suggested at various places from time to time(Not only humans, but also animal carcasses). This would actually be a great benefit for us, and we would have something to use the dead bodies for, instead of taking up space at some cemetery. I support the idea of burning bodies for farming nutrients, or any other use one could figure out.
The problem with this is that people tend to find it respectless to the dead. But seriously, when your dead, you wont notice what people do with your body, so they might just as well have some use for it.

yeah, that's kinda true, but i still can't accept the idea of making farm nutrients from human flesh and bones.

Well that's how life pretty much are. You consist of cells nourished by nutrients from dead organisms. If you look at the food cycle, somewhere there is an animal there that eats feces and the energy from it transfer to us in the end. Humans are also somewhere along that cycle as well. It's even likely that your own bodily waste turn up on your food one way or the other.
Seriously, don't think what your food has been through. You'll just feel sad or grossed out. Like Saber said...

Actually, nowadays, burying a dead body isn't a very good way to dispose of it, because you can't just toss a body into the ground and pile the dirt back on top of it. You have to put them in coffins, and they can't even be wood. In my state, I believe there's even a law that you have to put the body in a sort of tomb. They still go underground, but it's like a coffin within a coffin, pretty much promising that they won't enrich the earth a dead body should. Tears the circle of life to pieces.
As for why some people keep urns of ashes, I don't understand it. It's just ash. Even if you believe in an eternal soul, the ashes aren't anything special, and if you're worried about the remains being disturbed and angering the spirit of the person, it'd be better to spread the ashes somewhere instead of keeping them in an urn above your fireplace. It'd be too easy for the urn to fall over and spill the contents or to be broken due to an accident.
