World population.... Choose!!
Is it a good thing to have population control as a law?

There are laws where you are only allowed with 1 child, in some cases 2, and some countries you get to have as much kids as you want, without any restraint.
Do you believe the world is suffering under overpopulation?
Do you think the economy is breaking down because of this?
Are there any facts or articles regarding the case of overpopulation?
Why are there laws regarding population control in the first place?
Do you believe there should be laws regarding population control?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_population_control
I have been asking myself that for the past few years and I haven't had any clues regarding population growth. Ever since I was 12 I had some people tell me that Japan and China are assholes who don't let their people have more than 1 or two child, and I have watched some videos regarding to the population growth. Why do the governments create laws regarding population growth and will more and more countries create such laws that hinders women to reproduce more children?
I really need opinions and answers about this because it has been on my mind for the past 9 or 10 years.

I don't think Japan has a law restricting human reproduction. Actually, I don't think any country aside from China has a law specifically forbidding people from having excessive children. So you're really only referring to one instance of population control law, which doesn't even affect the entirety of China's population at that.
Now, I'm pretty sure you can find the answer to most of these questions by doing quick Google searches and comparing the results with an objective mind yourself, but one of the questions you asked is sort of a no-brainer:
Q: "Why are there laws regarding population control in the first place?/Why do governments create laws regarding population growth?"
A: Because a larger population creates a greater social, economical, and environmental population than a smaller one; lots of people are hard to control. tl;dr mo' people mo' problems.
In fact, I think the only viable questions for actual serious discussion here are the first, second, and last.

Sounds good... though I may ask... what do you think of population control and do you see a population control law fit for society? ( Just wanna know)

I do think the law should forbid or at least discourage people from having kids when they don't have the capacity to take care of them. Like the welfare lady in your town who has 7 children but no job or income.

Well reproduction is a natural part of life and nothing is wrong with having multiple children. The real issue might as well be that the population disparity by country and location is very uneven. Coastal cities in China have a lot more people than the untouched/uninhabitable western parts of China, and that's why in China the bigger the city is the more expensive everything will be. BUT labour will be much cheaper, which is the reason why so many Western countries build their factories in China. Competition is severe as there are only so many jobs available and China has 1.8 billion people.
Laws already exist in China, but then, not everyone adheres to the law. Can't hold back human nature now can they.

Guess they can't hold back nature, but do you believe if the situation continues that other countries will start having these human population control laws as well?
I had this weird thought just now.... if a person has not the income needed to take care of his/her family in the future, will the laws then forbid him/her to have any kids if his income salary doesn't rise enough for 2 or 3?

The people would cry out in protest; Human Rights groups would tear up the streets in protest if such a law comes down. The Western countries are democracies after all.
Laws would be impossible, but (severe) discouragement could be used as an alternate way of doing things. As for your second question, it seems like a good suggestion. It will come under fire from Human Rights groups of course but it won't be as negative as the population control law that you proposed.

Even though this sort of law will spark up a huge protest against this law, does it still have some positive meaning in it?
Will the economy ever be stabilized if population control ever came into effect?
Will the government ever take action against people who makes more than 5 or 6 kids?
I know it is against human rights, but then again how can people support themselves mentally and physically for this sort of task if they do make more than 4 kids?
My parents has 4 children ( I am the second) and they had a very hard time supporting us and giving our needs as kids, back then when I thought about, what would happen if me and my 2 younger brothers never were born? Would my parents have an easier lifestyle if they only had my sis? Would they be happier if they only had one child to take care of? Would they not need to worry since they can offer so much to one child and not have a care about it?
These personal thoughts lead me to the topic population control. I often question myself how can a family maintain their lifestyle? Would more kids mean more work and more challenges? Would I be able to support my family (fictional) if I only had 1 or 2 children? I know it would be socially great and more people in the family means more happy and sometimes sad memories, but I can't get this question outta my head, "Would the world be in a better position if they had this kind of law in effect many, many years ago"?
Weird huh? That I came with all of that up just now, because I asked myself that when I was little child but never took it serious until now.

The way I see it, total control over the number of children a married couple can have will fail.
The second idea is indeed a good idea. It still would be tough to pass such a law, seeing as how its still a form of restraining a married couple's number of children from an outsider's view. But seeing as how a married couple would suffer from high living costs, THEY would adhere to the law anyway. Combine that with a report-and-reward system and you might have something going. If they had passed this imaginary law years ago then perhaps things would have been different indeed; Human Rights were not as strongly emphasized until a few years ago and it would gradually have become a norm to many people, thus neutralizing its negative impact.
Personally I'd like to recommend you a book called 'The Glass Castle' by Jeanette Walls.

Such a law would be indeed tough to pass about population restraint based on the income from partners, but then again the government and officials wouldn't have much problems being more organized with the people and there would be in fact a stable society if taken into consideration.
I also question myself some things that there are rumors spreading online that America and other big cities are thinking about passing this law since they can benefit a lot from it and have easy control over each individual living in that city.
I know this sounds all crazy but I saw a video with Bill gates promoting human depopulation with all his equations and such.

Now please look at this carefully since it will have a big impact on people around the globe.

I personally think the most humane way to control human population is to make birth control as advanced and freely available as passable. That way there are less accidental births
I think putting a law on it brings up some icky questions. Like if a couple violates the law and has a extra kid, what do you do with it?I believe in abortion rights, but i would not approve killing a child just because for the sake of keeping population under control. I guess the child could be put in a wealthier home, but that might have unforeseen emotional consequences on the kid.

Yes I agree. if medicine were advanced and much more safer than the ones now we could be heading in a road where there won't be any accidental pregnancy and people wouldn't have to worry much about sex anymore like they are now.
I am only speaking in interest of the people and the current government we live in. For all the young people under 21 around the world who are experiencing as a father or as a mother with a newborn child, don't get me wrong, of course it's wonderful but what happens in the future?
I see so many people regretting having a child because of their naive thoughts of making a child without thinking of the child's best interest of the future. I am not only speaking for the child, but also for the parent/parents who are not even ready to have a child. Regardless of income, they also have to be mentally prepared for an upcoming child in the future, not just that, but if they want a child they must do with the desire to have one out of love and not out of ones personal duty as a married couple.
Strictly speaking/writing,
If I was in the government I probably be in a pinch too wondering,"Oh great now we have 2500 more child births this damn country, if this keeps up how are we gonna take care of the other ones who are barely even 10?
I know it may seem weird but I am starting to think more and more about population control. Yes I know it goes against ones rights as human beings and also causes an outrage but think about it, has there been any improvement at all in the society we live in today? Probably not, and what is more worse are the poor people making more kids than the rich ones which seems to me a weird and confusing case.
It all has to do with money and people are getting more needy by the minute or day as we speak, and I know some are being affected by it even though they are not parents but one situation can affect a different person who has no relation with the situation whatsoever.
Yeah I know my reply seems to be for the population growth control, but not just that, some kids are being born and not even taken care of and that pisses me me off.
Let me tell you Fakku-ers a dirty secret.
Some of my relatives have 2 to 3 kids already and guess what, they all regret it and don't seem to keep their duties as parents and let their kids do what they want thus making kids more and more dangerous. A lot of Europeans don't love their children like a child should be, they often get alone, and I ask you this Fakku?
Is it fair to make children and not love them?
I just want people to wake up and see what kind of society they are creating by taking a selfish and ignorant action.
I am against abortion and killing children.
But look at Gurren Lagann for a few episodes.
At an underground village there were 50 people kept and if there were more they would have to go outside the village and be probably killed.
Another example is after 7 years where if 1000000 were on the planet the Earth would be destroyed and they try to keep it under 1 million.
Isn't it kinda obvious that overpopulation is one of the biggest reasons some countries are suffering and also why there are economical crisis?
I am only pointing out some important things here, please understand the situation more and reply if you have any honest and intelligent replies.

Right now the WP < world pop. > is 7 1/2 Billion people with millions dying every day.
In poor areas of the world its common to die from some random disease or hunger.
In the USA , thousands die daily but nobody cares when they are thrown in a hospital to become bones but everybody cries when a poor child dies from no food. This is a ONGOING THING --- high pop. or not.

Nature is already beginning to control human population in itself. Over the last decade fertility rates have skyrocketed in first-world developed societies.

But how are governments gonna handle all that?
And also, how are the people gonna handle situation of a child when they themselves cannot support themselves?

What're you on about? If can't support a child then they shouldnt be having one in the first place.
You just can't be like oh lets have a child, oh shit i can't support it, government give me money!!! That's not enough money omg government sucks.

That is exactly what I am writing about.
If you would please read Black Jesus JC's post about advanced medicine and accidental births and my reply to that then you would understand what I am talking about.
The problem is, more and more accidental births are occurring and those are the ones that cannot support themselves but the women ( Most of them) refuse to take such medicines that hinders them from getting pregnant, which is why pharmacists and doctors should concentrate on a safer method of medicine women should take before having sex that way the fertile eggs can be protected from the males sperm, without any bad side effects or a risky side effect.
If women are not willingly accepting this kind of method then I am seeing a future where government will really take action and enforce population growth control. Not because the governments wants to restrict it, but they have no choice but to pass such laws if this goes on and on, then the governments would have no chance to take care of it's citizens.

Developed countries that doesn't have serious issues tend to have a negative births-death relation. Going back to what Mr. Gates said earlier, vaccines, makes life better for people which would decrease the world population, even though it saves lives. There for I think population control is really stupid, make life better for the people instead of trying to control them... The worse you have it the more children you have, that's how it works. If you look at some country's fertility rate over time you can mostly relate major increases with war, catastrophies, bad economy and decreases in fertility with economic upswings or introduction of more welfare.

It really is suspicious and kinda funny how he said better living, by depopulating.
I think he presented that in a rude, unfashionable way.
I think there doesn't need to be any killings, just people gotta be careful about making kids.
There is enough love in the world but there ain't enough money to feed the world.
If the economy should be stable then I think controlling the population growth back to its normal state ( about 5 to 5.5 billion ( Just guessing)) would take about 30 to 40 years if people understand the situation.
I know I write like a person who wants population growth control, but I am just writing it in a different view as someone who sees the bad and good side in situations.
