My friend actually ran a small business. He'd graffiti art clothes like hats blanks hats and blank shirts on request and then would sell them. He got the idea from some business cards he had to made in digital graphics class or something. He was mad good. He basically practiced on paper a fuck ton with inking pens and paint markers. He even considered asking the school if he could graffiti art the school's name in the school's colors [green and white] on a blank wall. We had art all over the school wall due to art classes and requests and stuff. I'm sad he never went through with the idea. It definitely would have bettered the school. Though I'm not sure how the would have liked that...
Needless to say that I believe that graffiti is an amazingly talented form of art that takes a certain dedication that I respect. It is certainly different for the little graffiti scribbles you see on some buildings and box cars on trains.

It is vandalism if it done without the building owner's consent or if it used on public area without consent from the local authorities. Personally, i do not like if the graffiti only consist of provoking words but if the graffiti is like on the 1st page, I'll gladly give my front wall.

I use to do graffiti when I was young and just did it for the rush it was fun going out late at night with my backpack filled with cans looking for a good spot to catch. Hoping I wouldn't get cought by the cops and I also liked when I use have to run from security guards, cops, or gangsters. Now I see more as art then just vandalism. I still go out and write sometimes but I try to find places were poeple wont be so offended or at yards.

I started respecting graffiti after seeing the movie bomb it, awesome documentary. I think it's cool and it makes otherwise blank boring slabs into something.

If it does not contain gang symbols, I love the art. It is all over my old neighborhood but the gangs deface it with their symbols.

I love graffiti! Its got a sort of rough, industrial feel that you dont get from other artwork. Although Im against tagging due to what it symbolizes, even that has a certain artistic style. But graffiti that is made purely for the sake of artistic expression has to be my favorite form of art.

All depends on the graffiti, if its just names or words like "fuck" on the wall then whats the point? But if its cool slogans or pictures that makes you think like the one from the first page, or stuff that looks good then sure.

if they make more murals like the in the image, its art.
If they make stupid things on the walls , it´s a crime.
But I think that our cities help the ones that nice pieces of art, the people will look the graffity in other way ( as long as that its not any sexual images related).
"Now am going to make a hentai picture on the walls on my bedroom"

Artistic-Criminals. I take the train almost everyday and while I'm sitting there listening to my Ipod, I see walls of graffiti. Then I was suprised that one building with art already on it had graffiti. Artistic-dominance?

Just because they're technically committing vandalism, what they're doing is art. It's an outward expression through artwork. They deserve to be punished for defacing public and (occasionally) private property, but some of the stuff they do is very visually striking.
It's a shame that they can't find a more constructive means of expressing themselves.
