Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike

If you're having trouble with execution on the stick, exaggerate the motions. If you're lazy, you'll miss inputting the down forward/back and since 3rd strike isn't SF4, your super/specials won't come out.

Spoiler:
Why do i also see some sticks with 8 buttons? Also just play with the stick to lossen it up. Within time the stick will move faster. Also go to options on the game menu and configure settings from there.

I believe those 2 extra buttons are 3 punches/kicks

So far i have some serious problems with diagonal inputs *since it takes so long to actually move the stick all the way to the corner and up/down*No way around it, it's the same thing as learning an instrument. It's gonna take a while before getting used to it. People who have fighting game experience with pads usually have a shorter learning curve for sticks because they're already used to the whole idea of how motions and interpretation works, but if you're starting from scratch it's gonna take some time. It took me almost a year before I started getting anywhere reliably with my stick execution, though I'm a slow learner myself.

And i have a topic related question: When the hell do you start inputing Chun's SA after st.RH for it to chain in her trial 5 ?Chun's close st.RH is jump cancelable, and superjump startup in turn is super cancelable. You have to get the super out during a specific frame window where she's preparing to jump. It's similar to a tigerknee. If you're familiar with japanese notation it would look like this: 2369236, where it reads 2369 as a superjump forward, yet still recognizes the 236236 as a super input. Don't worry about this if you're just starting out, seriously.

This thread haven't been active for a while, so I'm going to bump it with a video of some epic Japan tournament moments. Really, the Asians are freaking scary when it comes to 3rd Strike, they'd make EVO moments just a normal day thing!
If you want similar videos like this, there are more linked next to it on the video page, they are all crazy and entertaining.

Man, I still like going back and playing this game on XBL or PSN. I still find it enjoyable after all these years.
As of right now, I have #114 Makoto on XBL :D
