360 Elite or PS3?
Xbox 360 Elite or Playstation 3?

I've decided to buy myself a new console, and i was wondering if i should get a 360 E-l337 or a PS3. So, which do you think is the better console and why? And please don't be all like "omglol xbox iz teh gh3yz0rz!!!" Back up your argument please.
(I'm leaning towards the elite, but i can be swayed in the opposite direction.)
Also, i all ready have a Wii.
Edit: It appears that i need to clear things so;
-I prefer FPS's, but i'll play an RPG if it's done well
-I don't have a gaming pc, because I can't really afford a good one.
-Yes, i have an HDTV
My qualms are mostly due to online capabilities, costs for extra things (i.e. Controllers, Mics, DLC) and outright capabilities (yes, i am aware that the PS3 is better graphics-wise).

It'd help if you listed what kind of games you like.
I would lean towards the PS3, just because of the RRoD percentage.

Xbox because "omglol xbox iz teh gh3yz0rz!!!"
Joke aside, I'd personally go for the XBOX because I'm a lover of FPS games and computer-turned-console-or-other-way games. Games I must buy if I had a Xbox (funny how I tout the Xbox yet I don't own it - plays on friends' Xboxes):
- Halo trilogy
- Team Ninja produced games: Ninja Gaiden series, Dead or Alive series
- Dead Space
- Left 4 Dead
... others but I can't think of it because I haven't touched an Xbox in months.
Also, Xbox has Xbox LIVE which makes gaming global, and I don't know if the PS series have that but I think they don't. That's another big advantage of Xbox, which is being able to game with others through cable.
I like the PS series, especially some of the old classics, but recently I don't remember any great titles for PS3 except for the Japanese games/RPGs and Final Fantasy in particular.

360 because it's cheaper, has a much larger library of games and the best online service of all the consoles.
I haven't played with a PS3 that much so my opinion its a bit biased.

It's a question of if you're getting your bang for buck. Console-wise, Xbox due to internet capabilities and cheaper price. Game-wise, probably PS3 because RPGs can take forever to finish. That, though, is the reason why I don't like certain PS titles because I don't think I have the patience to sit through RPGs. (except the FF series.)

Oh yeah...if you've got a gaming desktop, might as well just get a PS3 instead.

I would go with the 360 if you are a big RPG fan, especially because of Mistwalker [a company comprised of several of the origional Final Fantasy creators, with the one and only Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of FF]. Mistwalker does not currently release thier games on the PS3, and Final Fantasy XIII will be released on the PS3 and 360, so you won't have to sacrifice 13 if it is a title you are waiting for. To be fair though, the PS3 will be having GOW3 and Kingdom Hearts3 exclusively, so choose carefully.

NO. And there won't be a Kingdom Hearts 3 until further announcement .
There are already 3 new games for 3 different consoles. And I can't seem to picture a Kingdom Hearts 3 since everything has been resolved in the second one.

What wiki had to say about it, thought i'd put it out there. :)
Future of the series
At the 2007 Tokyo Game Show, three new installments in the series were announced. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, focusing on Roxas, will be released for the Nintendo DS, while Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, focusing on new characters Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, will be released on the PlayStation Portable. Another game, Kingdom Hearts coded, is now released on mobile phones.[40] Nomura has stated that the three new titles are not the final titles in the series and they will have a connection to a future game.[41] Currently the PlayStation Portable and mobile phone titles are only confirmed for a Japanese release, though Square Enix has plans to releases them in other territories.[42] Japanese and North American releases have been announced for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.

Maybe there will be "Kingdom Hearts 3" But where will it start. What's the connection of the three games to the future.
On Topic: PS3, since most of X Box Games are ported into the PC.

That doesn't really help if he got a sucky PC though.

PS3, coz I'm not a really big fan of FPS...And X360 got an Over-Load of them..which makes me kinda sick just by looking at the games stock... Plus, PS3's PSN is free of charge...

the PS3 is making something of a comeback. but the 360 still has a better game selection and it seems to be an overall better system

On top of that, you got Halo Chronicles (FPS as an ODST) and Halo War (RTS) coming out soon... more Halo goodness.

Also PSN is free and Xbox live isn't.
If your straped for Cash & don't have a HDTV then go with the 360.
