Aliens: Colonial Marines

I had huge expectations for this game to be honest. When I played the game, I can't say I was too happy to play it, at the same time I wasn't extremely displeased either. It didn't meet my expectations but at the same time, it didn't exactly crash and burn. It's hit and miss for me. I'll be having fun, and at times I'll just be indifferent.

So, Gearbox finally put out a new update for Aliens that fixed a few bugs. At first, I thought to myself, "Well, at least they're doing something to make the game better" and decided to see what was changed. After downloading the update (which is mandatory, btw) I found that my save has been completely reset. To people unfamiliar with how Aliens:CM saves progress, it stores it's save files to the cache, rather than the HDD. So, if at any point you sign in to your profile while the game is running, you'll lose everything. Character levels, collectibles, challenges, and campaign progress. All gone. Forget any fun I was having with the multiplayer, this just effectively killed the game for me. All for a fucking spiked collar for my goddamn xeno to wear in multiplayer.

It's a crying shame, I was really looking forward to this game back in October, and I'm just glad that I decided to wait for critics and reviews before buying it.
Someday I hope to hear how it all went wrong. -_- though as a long time Alien fan, I'm used to the universe being stomped on. Alas.

I just got the game played a little bit of the multiplayer. I think the marines move too slowly and the aliens too quickly and the alien attacks are to wild and look like some ones just smashing away at the attack button they should have a stamina bar.
Would thought that season pass would of came with the collectors edition?

Alright. So, Gearbox put out a 4GB update for the PC earlier today. I don't at all believe that this will be the patch that'll turn this game into GOTY material, but at least it's a step in the right direction. Anyway I'll list the fixes down below.
Has anyone (assuming that there's still people who own this game) got a chance to play with the update installed and notice any visible changes to the game's graphics or AI? So far, the update only covers the PC, with the 360 and PS3 set to receive similar updates later on.
Spoiler:

I got it for my PS3. I still gotta DL the patch, and that's gonna have to happen either Friday or Saturday. If any patch comes out that follows anything on that list, I'll let ya know.

I already sold my copy after the last time my save file was erased, but if they manage to fix enough problems, I might pick it back up if the multiplayer is still alive. TBH, that is probably the game's saving grace. Bug Hunt looks fun, but until the save wipe problem (among many others) is fixed, I won't bother with second chances.

I just want them to fix the hit boxes. You ever notice that when you shot at the aliens, you had to hit them in the center? Shoot at their arms or the sides, it won't register.
