Avan Story - An Anime-Style Adventure Game

Hmm... will you be getting voice actors to add voices to the characters in the game?

I'm afraid not... It was a difficult subject and after much debate, the team has decided on having no voices for the game.

I hope you will enjoy the game even without them.

Voice actors kind of ruin the entire atmosphere if they're not right. For a free group (I think?) like yours, yes, it's better not to have it lol.

Quite true, we couldn't bet on the chance of having decent voice acting. Well, actually, we could but the cost involved would be too much for the team. Instead, we will rely on sound and music to bring out the game's atmosphere.

And we intend for 'Avan Story' to be a commercial project. The exact amount is not clear right now but it will be at a reasonable price (that's to say, cheap).

As long as it can be bought easily, lol. Would be awesome to have purchasable download. There are many times that I wish to support a certain VN by buying the game, but for some reason they either actively keep away foreigners (reject customers WTF) or just way way way too troublesome to buy. The stuff can't even get into my country if I buy DVD since it's porn. >_>

Well, of course it will be easy to purchase, we don't want to let all those efforts go to waste ^_^



I didn't know they do that to foreign buyers. Well, actually I already knew that the Japanese firms are well-known for shying away from foreign market but to such a degree (actively keep away!) is really unheard of. Or maybe this only applies to VN cases? Manga or Blu-ray boxes are pretty easy to buy as far as I know.

It seems that way from VNs. Translation projects were shut down harder and harder each year, not to mention some of the VNs outright states that 'This product is meant for Japan only'. Sigh.

Today I have two things to update:

First, the anigu homepage has finished upgrading, result in a change in its layout. Some more details are added on each character's profile. Furthermore, a whole new gameplay section is opened. Be sure to pay the site a visit :D

Second, I would like to introduce Kyra Crystal, princess of Avaed Nation and the ruler of Avan town. Her attitude can make people think she's arrogant sometimes.

The setting seems interesting and I also really like the art. You have a great artist there.

Something that initially didn't make me that enthusiastic about the game was the gameplay since I don't usually like that much Visual Novels with it however, from what you said previously and the pics provided, I'm sure that it'll be something pretty enjoyable for me.

I also like the way the site is organized. It's pretty simple to navigate through it and it's an important aspect of any website.

I'm looking forward for the release. Keep up the great work!

How do you guys plan to sell this have you heard of Stream Greenlight. This might be stupid question is this non-H.

A quick note that we have updated new character. Liz Dawez, teacher at Avan town and the caretaker of Miru and Rune. See her in the first post or on the website.

Can you guys like have an additional script version of Avan Story during release? I've always been curious at how it's feels like to read a Visual Novel from a purely text perspective.

I can't say for sure whether we will do that but we will consider your request. However, I don't think a pure-text version will be available on release since your request is kinda unique. It might be possible to include one in later releases but that's just my own opinion.

Either way, I will note this request so I will contact you when we've made a decision.

Very likely dead. The website's gone, the twitter hasn't been updated in a year.
