Bad Company 2

Nothing better then going "where the hell is the team?", then looking at the map only to find about 14 snipers all balled up in the hills on a rush map (attacking side).

I never really enjoy playing Rush, but if I am I'm rarely using the Recon class, and if I do happen to be using that Kit I'm at least not hiding back just sniping like a coward. I don't know how many Recon users I've seen that clearly can't be using their Motion Sensors. Those things are useful... toss a few out!

Yeah most recon class people don't understand that the first objective of recon is to inform the team of enemy locations via their long distance scope, and motion mines. If you see someone standing still, great, pop him in the face. However most don't recognize that your main objective is not "sniper".

That video helped me sooooooo much when I was first starting out, definitely a must watch, even if just for the comedy.

I play more of an active role when I'm using the Recon class. I see a guy, I either mark him for anyone else that sees him to take him out if I can't or take him out myself before he can do some damage. And for motion sensors, I only toss them out A)after a base is cleared of the M-COMs to check for anyone hiding and waiting to score some kills and B)to make sure that no one is sneaking up on me and/or my team mates.

This should be a forced viewing requirement for anybody who transfers over to BC2 from any COD game ._.

Bad Company 2 is now on sale on STEAM for under 14 euros (dunno bout the $ price).
I'd say now's a good time as any to get it.

I'm enjoying recon the most out of all the other classes, engineer comes in second, then assault in third and medic in fourth. Being the eyes for everyone is awesome and all, but I still end up as one of the top people on my team score and KDR wise. In no small part due to the amount of time I've spent sniping in the previous Battlefield games. Clan battles are intense.

Fair dos though I jumped in a Hind and got OWNED before I could even take off (Nice shot) but that only served to fuel the beast inside me... Nothing nicer than getting some easy tags. :P~

Ugh, haven't played Vietnam in awhile but I've clearly suffered from sniping in Call of Duty games. If I can really get myself in the mood, I'm fine sniping with the M40 at distance, but I'm having a terrible time picking up on the use of the M21 and the Dragunov. I was never terribly fond of the sniper rifles that required at least two shots to kill on non-hardcore modes, but I like to think I was at least competent with them. Not so with the Vietnam rifles.

Ah so glad they brought back Oasis, and so much better than recycling the old maps. Although it was nice having a nice steady flow of map.

Is anyone here experiencing weird things while playing online?

Like losing all your unlocked gear and rank?

I haven't popped the game in my console for a couple of weeks, but if I notice anything I'll mention that in here. I haven't heard anyone really talk about that problem online.

fairly common glitch...it usually doesn't mean anything ,and goes away (at least for me) after a few games.

Whenever I try to play online, at least the first 10 games, I'm back to rank 0 and with nothing.

Sure it goes away after a couple of games, like you said, but then it happens again.
And it doesn't happen every now and then, everyday I try playing online it happens.
