Forgotten, in the mass jungle of shitty games.
But to be clear Battlefield isn't the greatest game franchise.
Games like Bioshock and Metal gear solid is much better!

Best I can do is get a tank kill by slapping AT mines on my jet and going on a suicide run. Did they scrap that in the patch, or is it still possible to do?

Yey! Just got my first Jet Service Star it took me hell to do so after playing Caspian again and again. Damn it though coz I still don't know how to properly get on a Dog Fight. Always sneaking slowly using heat seeking.

When do you get the heat seekers?

Post patch you can get the heat seekers for 700xp. pre patch you need to get the flares first but now you can straightly get heat seeking as your very first unlock for your jet. Pre patch was like "you flying your jet without flares is = sight seeing" you'd be instantly killed when someone locks on you.

What about your knife?

I was able to pull off flying without flares by flying fast and low, hoping that the buildings and landscape would cut off their line of sight and break the target lock. It'd work for the most part, but it was too often that I'd hit an antennae or something else that'd insta-kill me.

Yeah I usually do low flying pre patch but yeah same as you often hit some obstacles on the ground. Seriously though the free flares given after post patch saved my ass for the whole time I played with my jet, extinguishers are pretty risky to use knowing it has quite a long cooldown. I'm fine with fighting jets who are using heat seekers as their main but damn I honestly hate those very -very- very mean pro jet pilots that only use their main gun and can track you like mad dogs.

I know what you mean. Those players are the ones I often have the most trouble dealing with. I can get pretty good at shaking off target locks and even know when's the best time to deploy flares, but those 20 mils are just plain vicious in the right hands. Doesn't matter how fancy my flying gets, those fucker's will just channel the spirit of the Red Baron and riddle my ass with cannon fire.
