It's badass and erotic at the same time... and probably more erotic than badass with certain techniques.

Played this game the other day. I fucking loved it and strongly recommend it. I didn't really get into DMC but I did appreciate it as a quality game. The director of DMC seems to have refined the formula into something that I can get into more. The cutscenes are just as laughably OTT and the dialogue is often excruciatingly cheesy and lame. Kind of like THIS PARTY JUST GOT CRAZY, but trying too hard to be sexy at the same time.
Me and my friend facepalmed a good number of times as we played through but the excellent gameplay and perfect difficulty curve make it worthwhile. Well there are some oddities in the difficulty. At some points I'd get a Game Over (often from some fucking annoying QTE) and then on my next try I'd do it and get a Pure Platinum rank (basically, S+).

Well Normal is fairy easy at first and then gets nicely challenging as it goes along, but nothing too tough. Frequent checkpoints, even mid-boss battle checkpoints, mean pretty much anyone can complete it on Normal given enough time. But yeah, there's an Easy setting which basically automates a lot of the things you can do. I haven't tried it but it described itself as "auto-mode" or something similar and sounds like it basically takes all the fun out of the game. They have similar "auto-modes" in various 1-on-1 fighting games and it tends to dumb down the gameplay to a worthless level.

Its Sega production but they had help with the game from the makers of of DMC but this game is better that DMC4 and I have it (ps3) and It is worth it to buy it its complex and full of action out the wahzoo XD

Just want to say that I love this game! Bayonetta herself is a great character and she looks great~! I have beaten the game only on normal mode, but I have been working on completing it again as Jeanne, also on normal (but her's is a but harder). My favorite character is definitely Jeanne~~^^
