I am not sure which one to select, because I love FF7 and at the same time I love FE7.
Final Fantasy 7 is from Square-Enix, whereas Fire Emblem 7 (Blazing Sword) is from Intelligent Systems.
I am aware that FE7 is more of a TBS game than a RPG, but it has some RPG elements, like almost every game nowadays.

As for rpgs....Him I'm really fond of From Software.
Their games are like actual traditional rpg in the sense that you get to make your own character, and how you choose to interact with the world and the choices you make affect the outcome of the story, and ultimately the world around you.
I like most of the publishers you posted(the ones I don't is because, well I probably haven't played games from them) but you're missing out on a lot companies/developers. I can't help but feel the thread would have been better if you didn't include a poll.

Admittedly, Dragon Age 2 was a bit of a disappointment, but still passable. Can't say anything bad about anything else they've made, though. And I absolutely love their sense of humor.

>Modern Bioware
Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch their games, fumbling in mediocrity, incapable of understanding.
CDPR and From Software are top shit now. You can play Dark Souls and see a decent game with barely any story if casually strolling through the thing, but watch EpicNameBro and VaatiVidya (especially this motherfucker because his videos are shorter) and the realization that there are a ton of details about the story and lore that you missed will blow your fucking testicle. It is that jizz-worthy.

That's why I said it needs to be more specific. I Apologize if this is not true.

I'm gonna have to go with either Bethesda and Bioware. Sure, after Dragon's age 2 and Mass Effect 3, they've certainly lost their touch, but their earlier games were the utter shit.
Sure, I can enjoy a Final Fantasy game, but I can't really view them as an actual RPG. There is no real Role that you play in those games, just a character and you attack. It's actually refreshing to play a game where you actually have choice, and a game that actually has consequences, which I saw done near perfectly in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
Hell, I just started playing Morrowind again, and that game has RPG written all over it. I like a game where you pick a class, which has a specialty, and proceed to play with that specialty.

I wanted to play it, but I only have limited access to a PS3 so I was never able to.

If you could look over the serious bugs, Troika was basically the best in terms of character development and story per release.
