Best Video Game You've Ever Played?

Weirdly enough, Modnation racers is one of the best arcade racing games I've played in a long while, it's just nails the kart racing formula perfectly.

The BEST video game i ever play (all the time), is SUPER MARIO BROTHER'S 3, i can't beat that game when i was a kid, even finally i can beat it with emulator on PC (save states and many other tools)
The BEST video game that RECENTLY i play : Final Fantasy XIII-2
Yeah I know many Final Fantasy fans hate that game, but it was a good game for me, far more better than original FF XIII, even it's still far-far away from classic Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX, one of the BEST game i ever play on PS1.

The kid in me says Bubble Bobble on the NES - I can sit in front of that game for hours and be just as happy as a five year old on Christmas morning. It never fails.
But the adult in me says Star Ocean: The Second Story on the PS1. It's probably the best RPG I've ever played in my life. I'm actually just now playing through it for the first time since I was a kid and it's a lot better than I remembered, and I remembered it being fantastic.

I love A LOT of video games but its kinda hard to pick one but since to me a good game is a mixture of story and gameplay so i'd guess metal gear solid 4 perfect ending for a perfect series

I have two. MegaMan 5 is one of them. I have yet to get tired of playing it after 14 years of playing it non-stop. The other is Skies of Arcadia. Every year, I start a new game and take in the atmosphere of this awesome game. The feeling of discovering something that has been forgotten is a big thing for me in games, so yes I also enjoy Fallout. The Zelda series is a given.
ALSO Super Smash Bros: Project M.

Older games for me would be like the original Super Smash Bros. and The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.
One of my favorite Gamecube game of all time is definitely Kirby's Air Ride. Damn I wish I still had that game, the City mode especially never gets old, obtaining Hydra and Dragoon still gives me goosebumps.
The Gears of War, Halo and Assassin's Creed series have all served me well with Gears being my favorite recent gen game series.

Twilight Princess - One of the Best in the series IMO. Smashing good story and final boss.
Sonic Generations - Beautiful stages and music from the past as well as remixes were absolutely orgasmic to a huge fan of Sonic such as myself.
Catherine - Puzzle and psychological horror made for a surprisingly addictive and satisfying ride. Hard as fuck, though.

Right now I'm like "oårthmektmnhejt, borderlands is the fucking best game ever" when I was playing Skyrim I thought the same thing about it.
And the same with Dragon Age 1 and 2, Lost Odyssey, Final Fantasy 4, 6, 7 and 9, Chrono Trigger, Fable 1-3, Baldurs Gate 1 and 2, Morrowind and about all the games I play. When the game is still new to me and I can explore new things, I think of it as the best game ever.
But I have to say that Borderlands 2 is quite high on the list because its the first first person shooter I have played and I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would enjoy first person shooters. My expectations were quite low, so it was a really really positive surprise.
I must say that Baldurs Gate series is the closest to my heart. I really enjoyed playing them even tho other people thought it was kinda weird for a pre teen girl to play games like that D: And the game I've played the most is Final Fantasy 7, I can still probably remember most of the contents of the chests in the game if I started playing it again... ._.

My two absolute favorite games are Skyrim and Half Life 2. Skyrim is just an amazing RPG set in the Elder Scrolls universe (that's almost all that needs to be said). It's not bogged down with all the skills that can be grouped together, has a better in-game menu, I can almost never be bored with it, and the story is great. Half Life 2 is just as close to my heart as Skyrim. The story is absolutely fantastic and exciting (one of the best stories for an FPS) that's just too memorable for me to not put as one of my top two. The gameplay is also fantastic; sure they script the fights, but it works perfectly to present the story. That's my two cents.

Final Fantasy 10. This. The game that introduced me to RPGs. I played this before pokemon and I was 11 at the time. It was funny because I had no clue how the leveling system worked and I managed to go through 1/4 of the game without upgrading my characters lol.
I only regret playing this at a young age. I didn't give two fucks about the story at the time, which is a shame because it's so good.

- Console wise: I want to say either the original .hack// series, the original Ar Tonelico or Final Fantasy VIII..
Idk if it may just be nostalgia, though..
[list]Handheld wise: 999 and it's sequel Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward all the way!
Recently, I picked up Anarchy Reigns and I've been loving the hell out of that.
Great game for a more than fair price of $29.99 new.
Awesome OST; where every single track is as epic as the last. Great graphics. Awesome gameplay.
Plus, if you pick an orange colored Leo, he's basically a Game Grumps Arin.
