Diablo 2

Been getting into this again lately, Just wondering if anyone around still plays.

Also with the new patch releasing, shake things up in the realms a bit.

Main things
Iron Maiden curse Removed
-melee characters less frustrating
Hammerdin's Hammers wont ignore demons and undeads resitances anymore
-hell wont be so friggen crowded with hammerdins
Den of evil quest will give a re-spec
Another mystery quest, gotta love these uber bosses
High runes have a better drop rate

And some fun things like hydra and werebear being a little bit stronger, which i think is pretty sweet.

Curenntly Playing a Sorc in U.S. West Ladder
Trying to make the sorc operate well in hell, without following the Metorb way. Doing a Lighting Storm/Fireball/Static/holy freeze Spear guy. Fire ball being my main attack till i run into immune to fire in which i leave it to my storm and spear guy to do a lot of the work while weakening the enimes with static. Putting a cham rune in his life steal helmet so he cannot be frozen and get his health back rather quickly.

I play from time to time but only single player... and taking down baal with a lone barbarian be hard...

isnt battle.net pretty unplayable these days

last time i went there i had spambots join my games in about 15 second frequency and the servers generally sucking, i remember eventually dying because the servers would hiccup with a massive ten second spike about once every minute.

i just play the game with a few people through ip connect and /players8 now, hardcore is the only thing interesting about this game and it's impossible with what I saw of the servers lately.

I used to play and mostly did MF, found everything and forgot to log o to my accounts within 3 months and lost everything. Then I stopped playing...

Yea same here. That shits annoying. Also that Warden program detects pretty much every hack now. I tried to play again and forgot to take my maphack out and immediately got caught and 30-day banned. The glide wrapper still works because its driver-based and I highly recommend it. You know the video test where you choose DirectDraw, Direct3D, or 3dfx Glide? The wrapper makes glide work which makes your game look and run a hell of a lot better. It softens all the jagged edges and the game won't stutter anymore.

playing for the past 9 years, losing my characters a ton of times due to the 3 month crap. I always seemed to come back stronger. If any of you want to get back into it i could help you out.

I got addicted to this when I was 15 and all I got on battle.net is a skellymancer (max lvl) and only participated in pvp

So, anyone still playing this?

Sadly, I don't know any Fakku users that play this game.

I play every now and then mostly single player though.

I'll play D2 with anyone provided it's on HC.

HC is a bit to much fro me I dont wanna loose my toon after dying once lol

Yeah, I pretty much stay away from HC too.

It's just such a miserable feeling if you see all your hard work go to waste.
Especially if some other player just pulled a dick move on you.

Best I've done was an 87 Trapsin, which was one level away from the Leaderboard.

(HC mind you I never played normal, was boring.)

I've had amazing toons over the years, back when I played. Good times.
